We recently toured this place with 3 other couples. The winery couldn't be more picturesque! Do yourself a favor and take the tour of the vineyard. It's one of the best views in Napa! Our tasting was the vertical variety, and we tried the 2008. 2009 2010, and the just-released 2011. It was really interesting to see how the flavors... More

Very nice hosting on a rear to find all natural estate. Holistic approach to grape care makes that bio-dinamic wine a unique one. Worth visiting in any case if you like the wine or not.

Ask for David, the manager, he is absolutely hands down the perfect host. Very informative, a gentleman, and very attentive. I have been drinking Quintessa since the late 90's, and we were able to taste 4 different years, my favorite and believe to be the most similar to when Quintessa first became noticed, is the 2010. Perfect smooth balance, and... More

Quintessa only makes one wine and it isn't cheap, but it is a beautiful wine. We have visited Quintessa twice, and each time has been a great experience. You get to taste a vertical of three vintages of the Quintessa cabernet sauvignon, served with a small plate of meat and cheeses. Each time our tour guide has been excellent, showing... More

Quintessa makes only one wine, so your tasting experience is a vertical of the 2008, 2009, and current 2010 vintages. Presented with a cheese platter at a comfortable table by an informative host who had great knowledge of the wines and interesting personal stories. Never feeling rushed our host poured the 2006 and 2007 vintages as well. Included was an... More

We have traveled extensively in the Sonoma/Napa area and Quintessa is, by far, the most beautiful property + the wine is fabulous. We made a reservation for ourselves and 3 add'l couples. Our host, Jared, welcomed us and led us on a very informative tour including sorting the harvest, pumping over of the fermentation tanks, the caves, and a hike... More

Quintessa requires a reservation for a private tasting and is $70 per person. Property is absolutely stunning. Facility looks great. The tour host was horrible!!! We felt very rushed, he was distracted, not interested to be there, was very short on wine explanation. We visited 10 vineries, by far this was the worst experience. Although they have great wines, I... More

A very interesting winery tour that featured a Quintessa vertical tasting (2010, 09, 08 and 06). One of the newer high end red wineries in Napa that does things a bit differently. Interesting production facilities and vineyard.

Quintessa requires a reservation but the property is beautiful and the tasting is very informative. its a private tasting and is $60 per person so some may find that a little intimidating

This was the WORST tasting experience ever in Napa. The host was somewhat distracted and spent a lot of time inputting our information in to the Ipad while we were sitting in the tasting room. We have visited numerous wineries in the area (have been tasting for over 20 years and been to Napa and Sonoma 12-14 times) and felt... More
