We learned about Tres Sabores from the Zinfandel Advocates and Producers (ZAP) and scheduled a trip to the winery with friends. Julie Johnson is the owner, wine maker, and host extraordinaire. You need an appointment and directions to get there but it is well worth the time. The ranch is dry farmed and organic and the wines are excellent. There... More

We stumbled upon Tres Sabores from a recommendation while at another wine tasting. What a great place to visit. The setting is charming and understated. You drive up a road and then on the a gravel road lined with pomegranate trees to a small guest house with a garden and picnic table outside where you experience the tasting. We also... More

Small winery that is very off the beaten path and requires reservations but soooooo worth it! They are organic, dry farming the grapes and the whole operation is so cool! We had such a lovely afternoon tour. Their wines are exceptional and we ended up buying 12 bottles to have shipped home. Make your reservations and enjoy a laid-back afternoon... More

My wife and I found out about Tres Sabores from our friends Jim and Jamie who run the Inn on First Street in Napa. They said we shouldn't miss this little treasure and they were right! It is a small, intimate winery and we were given a tour of the grounds and tastes of their wines by Jennifer, one of... More

Tres Sabores is a stop not to miss on your trip to wine country. It is a smaller winery off of the beaten path. They gave us a private tour of their operation and a tasting of some great wines. The owner was working on the grapes they had picked that morning and took the time to share her experiences... More

Beautiful views, friendly people, and great wine! They even have animals to entertain the little ones. I wanted to stay all day! This tour does not involve a lot of walking as it is a small privately owned winery. The tour group was small as well - 8 adults and 2 children - which provided ample opportunity for questions and... What a nice setting for a winery, up in the hills of Napa Valley. A small little winery which offers tours/tastings with a great view of the valley. Plus the wine is produced in small batches so it is just like drinking it our of the barrel. But be careful as we got lost following the GPS directions. Road signs... More

We did a private tasting on a wine tour and had the pleasure of meeting Julie (Winemaker and Owner) at Tres Sabores. We had a picnic lunch while there and really enjoyed our tour of the winery and grounds with Ashley. The wines were some of the best we tasted while in CA. We joined the wine club as there... More

They will set up a picnic for you and you taste their wines while you picnic. This is a very down-to-earth rustic winery and we enjoyed being at a less commercial, more family run place. Met the owner who was lovely. They have guinea hens, make their own compost and we liked the wine.

If you love Zinfindel, you will love Tres Sabores . But even if you don't, Tres Sabores is a must visit. The winemaker, Julie, is a fantastic person and a wonderful host. In addition to a tour of her beautiful grounds and cave, you taste all sorts of delicious wines from Sauvignon Blanc to Cabernet. Definitely make an appointment at... More
