Heibel Ranch Vineyards is unlike any other experience that the Napa Valley can offer. Proprietor greets you in "Sugar Magnolia" (a 1963 Willys jeep) and provides a guided tour of historic Aetna Springs Resort, his family's CCOF certified organic vineyard, and 186 acre ranch. Be sure to bring your camera and get ready to enjoy the Napa Valley as it was decades ago!

What a treat! First the drive here, up a windy canyon road, is beautiful. Plan to spend an hour getting here. Next you meet Trent and take a quick tour of the area that his grandpa once owned. Finally we were taken to the old clubhouse of Aetna springs resort that has be preserved and moved. Inside were old relics... More

Trent is a cool dude, his dog chachi is awesome as well. Automatically puts a smile on your face right when you see chachi running around. Was cool to get to see the whole property and was also a nice laid back tasting. Had my favorite bottle of wine, the GBH, for the whole weeks trip here. Definitely a great... More

A friend recommended this winery and boy were we glad she did! What a gem!! So different than the big producer wine tastings. A beautiful drive to Pope Valley, the setting for the tasting was like a picnic with wine, cheese salami, bread and chocolates. Trent the owner made you feel like an old friend. And Chaci the yellow lab... More

I have taken three trips to the Napa Valley area, staying in Yountville each time. I have taken a different guest/friend each visit, and requested a different style of experience from the resort concierge each time. On my most recent trip, I was traveling with a WSET Level 3 Sommelier from Portugal. I requested "unique behind the scenes experiences at... More

My wife and I were looking for something more than the typical Napa big producer wine tasting room experience and we found it here! We will visit Heibel and it's owner, Trent, every time we return to the area. We spent several hours in a picnic setting drinking great wine; enjoying cheeses, meats, bread, olives and chocolate; and having a... More

Definitely a must have in Napa. One of the best tastings. Beautiful drive to get there. The property itself is geogous. The owner, Trent, has done a phenomenal job with that tasting, it was nice and personal. Very elegant wine was paired with bread, chese and salami. It felt like a picnic with an old friend over a few hours.... More

What a neat experience. My wife and I went to Napa for our 20th anniversary, and this was her favorite thing we did. I was just so much different than the other wine tasting experiences. Try some great wine and learn all about how a vineyard is run in the beautiful outdoors.

If you find yourself a bit tired of the pretentiousness of many Napa wine tastings, take a trip out to Heibel for a down-to-earth experience in the back country of Napa. Proprietor Trent G. and his golden lab Chachi are the perfect companions for tasting HRV's wine under the trees next to the vineyard. This was our second trip to... More

Definitely a stand-out of our recent visit to the Napa area. Glad we allowed extra time for the trip over Howell Mountain to Pope valley - the roads are very twisty buy the scenery is fantastic. There are not many vineyards where the owner/winemaker takes the morning to show you around and give you a personal tour, including tasting some... More

Leaving Napa Valley and heading over to Pope Valley was like a trek back in time. We hopped into Trent's 4Runner, with his dog in the back and headed up the trail. He first drove us through the ruins of an old golf club compound with ties back Ronald Reagan and famous actors of the early days of Hollywood. We... More
