It is quite amazing, how five wine tasting flights are suffering from inflation almost everywhere in Napa and Sonoma. Tasted the basic flight, and the price for 5 wines was 30$. OK, not to complain the wines nor the professional presentation. But come on, promoting your wines for ad-hoc wine tourists for 30 bucks is close to robbery.

A local bar owner told me that this is the winery that you go to at the end of the day because it's open so late (6 pm). And the wine is a reflection of that. It's not bad but it's not that great either. That being said, the winery is a super chill place that one can relax for... More

We weren't going to go to Merryvale because we had been there several years ago. We went and we were glad we did. Of all the wineries we visited that day Merryvale was the best tasting experience! It was very busy! Our tasting Rep was knowledgeable about each pour! We loved our experience! The wine was great! Would go back!!

My wife and I stopped into the tasting room at Merryvale Vineyards and enjoyed tasting some of the wines we have loved over the years. We started with a Chardonnay and then had Pinot Noir, Merlot and two Cabernet Sauvignon offerings. The wines were all very good. My favorite was the 2010 Napa Cab. I love large format bottles and... I see the wine tasting fee has gone up to $30 for 5 wines. I also feel their wines, at least the past two years, are not up to the same quality as prior years. I am disappointed overall. The feeling of commercialism has taken a greater hand in their presentation and wines, which makes it less attractive to visit... More

Small winery (~15,000 cases) with a rather wide offering in St Helena. They grow some, purchase some. Their cellar is co-located with the tasting room which has character and allows for different seating areas (all inside). Some funky Swiss folk art is for sale (owner is from Switzerland). Eric was a knowledgeable and friendly host to our wine and cheese... More

This review is for the tasting room. Merryvale has a beautiful tasting room. It has the feel of an old cellar but is spacious with high ceilings and modern wood and aluminum furnishings. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We had a five course tasting which showcased their wine well. Included were various crackers, cheeses and almonds. A very nice... More

Merryvale, fabulous tasting. Sean, wonderful host. The wines are fabulous, especially the sparkling wine and the dessert wine. You can even mix the two. Make the trip to this winery!

Outstanding winery. We put Merryvale on our list since it was very close to our motel. Beautiful inside tasting room with high top chairs at the bar, so nice not to stand. The wines were all very good, so good that we joined the wine club. For my wife and I, the Pinot Noir and the Cabernet were by far... More

I'm not typically a fan of dessert wines but this one is great. The tasting room is beautiful and all of the wines are good. The somolier we had was fun, interesting and very knowledgeable. A great experience
