We toured this winery during 'LIVE in the VINEYARD' April 2014. Of the 5 vineyards tour this was the most informative and best wines we experienced. All 6 wines tasted was a value to our palette. We found the 2012 Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley and the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon. St. Helena exceptional and worth a case buy. The surprise was... More

We did not do a wine tasting here, but rented Merryvale out for a dinner of about 40 people. Started with appetizers and wine in the front of the building, then a tour, and finally dinner in their cask room. The cask room is a setting unlike any other I've seen before, it's perfect for a medium sized group wanting... More

One of the best wineries we visited on our trip, with a plentiful selection of wines, and a.great setting to enjoy a tasting. Staff was generous with their knowledge of product, suggested visits to other sites in Napa, not pushy as some are in pushing product. Cabs and Petite Verdot were incredible. Looking forward to future selections as new members... More

We were there during harvest at the end of September -- loved Merryvale! We booked a wine/cheese tasting that was supposed to be a group affair but ended being just Mom, me, and the hostess. We got to see the fermentation tanks, met the assistant winemaker, toured the barrel rooms, and then had our tasting in the huge cask room.... More

This lovely winery off the main drag in St. Helena is one of the finest in the valley with EVERY wine being pretty much OUTSTANDING. Lauren was the server and she was knowledable, friendly. Every tasting was excellent, and that's MOST UNUSUAL for most wineries. I've bought there wine off and on for years because? Well, they are CONSISTENTLY good... More

I stopped there to try the wines- it is next door to Tra Vigne where we ate the night before. It is on Hwy 29 in the middle of Napa Valley. The wines were good, not great. A friend told me that I should have tried the high end reserve wines.

Saw Lauren at the tasting, not crowded at all..she made the experience very pleasant. Be sure to ask for her. The wines are pricy but excellent, one of the best wines on the trip so far... There is a barrel room that is adjacent to the tasting room that is WAY COOL, a massive photo opp.. Bottom line you MUST... More

I think their wines were good; but it's overshadowed by the crowded tasting room. Yes, they're open late. Yes, we went there towards the end of the day (4:00). We would like to go back first thing in the morning & try again!

We used the cask room at Merryvale for our Reception Dinner, catered by Tra Vigne restaurant. We made several visits to Napa Valley to find the perfect venue for this wedding and once we met with Kelly Craig at Merryvale, we knew there was no reason to look further. When it came to wine tasting, Merryvale was unlike any other... More
