We went there as a part of our Platypus wine tour, and tasted 6 wines (white and red included) - awesome collection and Mark was an amazing host. We also had a complete tour of how wines are made and stored, the steel containers, the oak barrels, how and from where grapes are procured, and how wines are aged. The... More

I've done a lot of wine tasting in Northern Michigan and Italy, but this was my first trip to Napa. My mom and I took a day-trip up to Napa and St Helena just for a fun girls day! And while we both like to drink wine, we're certainly not connoisseurs. I was surprised that the tasting was $30 (which... More

In the 4 days we spent in Napa this was the ONLY lousy experience. Yes the Pinot Noir is amazing, sadly, the customer service is not. I have visited 3 times on 3 different trips to CA. The first we received excellent service (due to a prearranged visit from a wine distributor friend) --that was about 6 years ago. 3... More

We went to Merryvale Vineyards for a tasting on day 2 of our trip upon a recommendation from someone and had a very enjoyable experience. We were there on a Thursday morning so it was not crowded at all. Richard was our host/pourer and he was great. He was very personable and not only knowledgeable about the wines but provided... We visited Merryvale at the suggestion of friends and were happy we did. The rather unassuming building is conveniently located on Route 29, tucked under some trees but what's inside was wonderful! The wines were delicious - I don't enjoy Chardonnay but theirs is lovely. The Merlot and especially the Cabs were wonderful and I plan to ask our local... More

Wow what a surprise this vineyard was as well as the wines. We did a wine/cheese pairing and I was blown away on how good the wines were. I never had Merryvale wines before but heard of them through our local wine store. They also have an extensive store where you can purchase their wines and all sorts of wine... More

A gigantic barrel room with a huge table dominates one of the tasting rooms. This is a winery with some grandeur. Wines good Napa offerings.

Just walking by the building, you could not imagine how impressive the inside could possibly be. Keegan greeted us when we walked in and gave a very informative tour. He was very entertaining and friendly! The private party room is lined with wine barrels--who wouldn't want to have a private dinner or reception here! The wine tasting experience was outstanding--put... More

Attended a wonderful wedding reception here. The venue was perfect for the size (70) of our group. The wines were exceptional! My next trip to Napa it will be on my list of wineries to tour and taste.

We toured this winery during 'LIVE in the VINEYARD' April 2014. Of the 5 vineyards tour this was the most informative and best wines we experienced. All 6 wines tasted was a value to our palette. We found the 2012 Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley and the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon. St. Helena exceptional and worth a case buy. The surprise was... More
