If you like used car salesmen, you will love this place. There was very like education on how they make their wines or history of the winery. They laid on the sales pitch from start to finish. The $60 cave tour is nothing more than a tasting behind a curtain. The cave is really just hallway behind the curtain. You've... More

The cave tour was AMAZING. Beautiful winery, fabulous wine, and our host, Adam, was hilarious. His sarcasm and wit went perfectly with our family's humor. He also taught us a lot about wine. Comedy and education- the best tour I've ever been on. Be prepared to spend some dough but it is worth every penny! It is the best tasting... More

I thought twice about writing another review for Del Dotto, because I did not want everyone to buy all their wine and leave less for me! But once again Del Dotto blew the cork out of the barrel! This was my second time visiting Del Dotto in Napa/St Helena, and once again the wines, the place, the experience, and the... More

We live in Napa, and so often take visiting friends on wine tastings. Del Dotto has been a regular on our list because it has been one of the most fun over the years. They pour directly from the barrels using a wine thief, and had unusual features such as being able to smell a toasted barrel to understand what... More

They were extremely accommodating during the earthquake and moved us from the Napa location to the St Helena location. This location is man made and gaudy but that's what makes it great. I appreciated this winery working to make sure we had a great experience dispute the other location being affected by earthquake. We were served delicious snacks during our... More

We had a great time, but I can understand the negative reviews as well as the positive. We did the cave tour, which was expensive ($60/person, and no reimbursement for purchasing a lot of wine). The cave is a man-made long basement/trench -- not really a cave, but pretty. The barrel tasting was all almost-ready or already bottled wine, so... More

Recently took 6 quests to the Del Dotto winery for a tasting and their annual back yard BBQ for club members. What a absolute bash it was totally 1st class. My guests learned more from their tasting than the other wineries we visited combined. This is the winery to visit and we will return again in March. It is super... More

We visit Napa and Sonoma areas twice a year. DD is one of the best experiences in either county. Do the cave tour at the St Helena location on 29 near Zinfandel Rd. Tim is our favorite guide but they are all great. His dry humor adds so much to the experience for us. :-) There are a couple negative... More

My spouse and I had our hotel concierge make a reservation for Del Dotto and we were thankful for the recommendation! The staff was wonderful and the tour focused on the caves where the wine is crafted. The pours were quite generous, and our guide was knowledgeable and a great personality. Del Dotto was a unique experience that I would... More

We loved our tour!! We did the cave tour very early in the morning and enjoyed great wine and the best cheese I have ever had in my entire life! Eight years aged Gouda. Its a beautiful building and the tour was great. It was great to hear the Bible incorporated into the tour! Highly recommend it!
