We have visited many of the most famous Cathedrals around the world and this one is definitely one of the most beautiful. The stained windows are outstanding. We were able to attend Mass daily including two major events as part of our international convention...simply breath-taking.

We are Catholic so this was a must see for us. And it is worth it regardless of your religious background. It was restored not too long ago. The images and general feel of the place is inspirational ..

Right off the downtown mall is this beautiful cathedral. It was remodeled a couple years ago and they did a fabulous job. Calming just to wander in for a few minutes

While I was attending a business conference in Sacramento, I decided to travel to this old historic church building to take a peek. It was actually located directly behind my hotel. The outside of the building it is quite majestic! I grew up in the Midwest and it reminded me of one of the old church buildings in a town... More

Only 1 block away from the State Capital building. We stopped in for a few minutes on our way back from the capital to the parking garage and were able to see some very beautiful stain glass windows. The dome is very much a part of the Sacramento skyline

I'm not Catholic but I do enjoy a great looking building and the cathedral is wonderful. It certainly doesn't disappoint. Going to the cathedral is a great addition if you are already downtown to see the Capitol.

Another stop in a very short visit to downtown Sacramento. Went on a Sunday, but was unable to see much of the inside of the church, as they were holding services.

This church is beautiful inside and surrounded by great places to eat and you can walk the capital. I would visit hear and the walk through the capital on your way to Crocker Art Museum. You can walk old Sacramento before or after.

The entire experience is just grand. Parking facility is located right next to the Cathedral. The dome is so impressive. The cantor was once of the best voices I have ever heard. It will do your soul good to go to Mass there. We had our son's wedding there and had been to it many times for other special masses... More
