This was my first visit to the Sacramento Community Center theater so I didn't know what to expect. The presentation of the evening was "Jersey Boys - The story of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons" musical show. Outstanding! Was surprised how large a theater the Community Center is, it looked like most seats were taken even though it was... More

We have visited a couple of times and have been pleased. Even Grand Tier seats are good and acoustics are very good. Good lighting and nice lobby area on both levels. They do amazing things with the stage props both from above and below.

I have season tickets and love my seats, however I agree it needs to be renovated. The orchestra seats are not very convenient if you seat in the middle.

I am a season ticket holder for the Broadway Sacramento musical series every year, and have found this venue to be an very enjoyable theatre for watching live performances. It's getting old, and probably due for a makeover, but it's still just fine. I've visited this theatre for many, many years for a variety of performances, and always feel comfortable... More

Went there to see "The Buddy Holly Story" and enjoyed the show. The theater I did not hate, but there were some things that should have been better. First, they open the doors to the entry area at 7:00pm. It was hot while milling around the entry area and felt like there was not any circulation. They opened the auditorium... More

Best thing this place has going for it is location accross from the capital park which provides a nice walk to free evening parking. The seats not bad and sight lines were good. However, we went to Prarie Home Companion traveling show in July and was shocked how fuzzy the sound was. In June, we went to Mondavi Hall in... More

My daughter and I drove up from Fresno to see Garrison Keillor's "A Prairie Home Companion--Radio Romance" tour show on 7/11. As my title says-- this was our first time at this theater and we were impressed-- it's an attractive venue. Us sitting together at shows is not a big deal. My daughter is the bigger fan of Garrison's show... More

The last show of the season was Les Miserables, my favorite musical. It had the best cast I've seen yet. My husband was impressed too.

The seats in orchestra were comfortable and it seemed the views were good everywhere. It is a good place for plays and it is easy getting in and going out. Parking was close and there is a great view of the capitol building.

I was very impressed with the production of Les Miserables at the Sacramento Community Center Theater. Although the stage was small, the director made the most of it and along with the set designers, made this production a winner. I had a middle seat on the top tier but could see everything. The space between my seat and the person... More
