Agree with the other reviewers on the renovations at The Crest, it is wonderfully restored. We had seats up close to the stage so we could see Diana Gabaldon and the hostess who led the interview. The theater was full with Gabaldon fans who eagerly lined up after the interview was done to get their Gabaldon books personally autographed. The... More

Unbeatable environment of great historic beauty in which to enjoy a concert with good sound. I appreciated that beer and wine was served.

I was impressed by the ambiance and sound at the Crest. We had seats in the center 7th row and the sound was pristine. The vintage restoration is lovely and adds a lot to the feel of the performances. The bar area is in a pit in the lobby and you must drink your drink in that small area, kind... More

This is arguably the most beautifully restored theatre I've ever enjoyed. Beginning life during the Art Nouveau era, the building is more than 100 years old and began life as a theater for vaudeville acts. Completely restored at least twice, the interior designs sweet across the ceiling and walls in organic swirls covered in gold leaf. Just gorgeous. The staff... More

It's a beautiful theatre. You are walking back in time! They have great independent movies, host foreign film festivals (I went to two movies at the French Film festival this month. Validated parking. And they also host live events - I have seen Paula Poundstone here twice. You will enjoy your experience.

A great venue for live performances. Recently saw Straight No Chaser (best a capella group around)We were high up on the right side. The sound system made it like we were 10 rows from the front. If you are up on the back rows, it is a pretty steep climb. Not for the elderly or infirmed.

I just was at the French Film Festival at the Crest this past weekend. This is an annual event and well-worth checking out. The Crest just lends itself to concerts and indie films. In saw a 1942 black-and-white detective film- just being in this grand old theater makes anything you come to see that much better. Parking is very easy-... More

Most towns have torn down their old theaters. Thankfully this is still here. They are doing more live events now and not the old or foreign films ...bummer. But if you see anything on the menu that looks inviting, definitely check out the Crest. It's a bit of old timey history and the street cafes are also great.
