Super retro designs in the architecture. I always enjoy my visits here. They've hosted movies, non-profit rallies and Film Festivals here. You'll enjoy the old world charm.

The Crest (downtown) and the Tower (south of downtown) are the only venues in Sacramento for anything other than the regular, mainline Hollywood studio offerings oriented to teenagers. Many wonderful movies open here but you have to check the listings frequently as Crest doesn't do much advertising. There are also live concerts here now and then but they sell out... More

Since change in ownership, much better, people no longer snobby, place is clean, for once!!!! The total experience was the best ever at this venue.... I think the last owners were slumlords compared to the quality of service & overall experience now vs. then...

The architecture is enough of a reason to come for a visit. It's a cool old theater but it's just that...old. The sits are older and smaller so if you're used to the bigger reclining/rocking ones at regular theaters, you might be disappointed. They have great shows here and it's in an older section of town that is going through... More

I took my 4th graders along with our 2nd grade buddies to see a play performance. The production was many different plays on short books. The opening was "My Teacher from the Black Lagoon" There was plenty of feet room for everyone. They were amazed by the theatre.

Sacramento's Only surviving movie palace! Great staffing and the ONLY place to see an old movie, live venue, or something really special! Gives a feel of what it must've been like in the 40's and 50's- when going to see a movie was an EVENT!

I love this venue! It has been nicely restored and close to parking. There is no bad seat. It would be hard to find a better concert venue in the Sacramento area.

What a great old place. I have been here for several events. Check the website for upcoming events and movies. Light Rail runs just outside the door. Beware of the large bum population on K st but you are safe once inside.
