Great venue for conventions or theater. Get there early, drop off passengers and park on street 3 or 4 blocks toward G street. Have a stroll back. On weekends there are lots of flat rate parking lots a little closer.

The performance was wonderful, but acoustics are lacking. Not enough bathrooms for the amount of time , great seating. ** NO one under 4 allowed, but they allowed it.

Wicked was fantastic, but the Community Center was very HOT, everyone was fanning and we felt sorry for the actors in their heavy costumes. Also there are not nearly enough womens bathrooms, even if you rush out there are impossible lines on both floors. The usher told us we could walk next door to convention center (in 105 degree heat)... More

My daughter and I saw Wicked - an AMAZING show! - at the Sacramento Convention Center this weekend and it was an overall really good experience. The seats were comfortable and the sound system was better than I expected. The temperature was also very comfortable. I was expecting it to be chilly. The only two downfalls to the whole evening... Enjoyed our experience at the Sacramento Opera and Philharmonic Orchestra held at the Community Center. We sat close so the sound was especially strong. One singer did have difficulty when he sang from the back area of the stage. Might need improved acoustics.

Located close to restaurants, shopping and parking lots. Spacious very good to have exhibits and conferences for more than 1000 people.

The convention center is large and clean. I went there for the Winter Wine and Food Fest, a fund raising event. It was comfortable and roomy.

This was again a very workable site for a recent educational conference. The onsite Starbucks, supportive and knowledgeable convention staff, and the very adequate air conditioning made this a suitable location.

The SAC CONVENTION CENTER is a great venue for a small, intimate gathering (7000 seat auditorm) and the Greek Food Festible. I adore the Sacramento Ballet (modern stuff only) and have had great times seeing them strut their stuff here. I have also saw great acts such as Michael Franks and Al Stewart perform here. And Sacramento wouldn't be Sacramento... More

This is a huge building and have been there several times for blood donor banquets with awards. We easily had 1500-2000 attendees and the sound system was good supplemented with a pair of projection screens. Parking is fairly pricey in this area.
