Great place for a walk with the kids.

The park is very nice and has a large amazing playground for the kids. After playing we had a nice walk around the pond. It is in downtown though so you always keep your eye out.

If you like to feed the ducks there is a pond with ducks on the west side. There is a fantastic rose garden where there are weddings when the roses are in bloom. There is the Iva Gard gar den center which hosts various garden clubs who have free shows/sales on the weekends. Check their web site or Sat's garden... More

A gem of a park in a nice residential area, there are plenty of benches and nice landscaping to enjoy during a break.

McKinley Park is in the heart of East Sacramento just to the east of mid-town Sacramento and about 2 miles from downtown and the State capitol. It continues Sacramento's tradition as the city of trees, with many large shade trees surrounding open lawn areas. There is a branch of the Sacramento Public Library at the west end facing Alhambra Avenue... More

The Rose Garden in the park is a must when visiting McKinley Park. This garden can be booked for surfing and is very favorable, minimum of 3 hours is required for photos, drinks and caterer food.

Beautiful park where one can take their families and have picnic and check out the duck pond. A place to play baseball, basketball and volleyball. There's also a rose garden where a lot of weddings take place. A library is also in the park. They also have frequent plant sales. And most especially, a place to run and walk for... More

Whilst staying in Sac this became my regular morning spot. Lovely to see so many ducks, lots of squirrels, great to watch owners and dogs, and joggers (being sadistic!!) It's lovely and peaceful, the water fountains in the pond are great. The kids playground looks fun, I was always there too early for any children to be around (to ask... More

Know this is just a absolutely beautiful part of midtown. I have been here many times and each has been very enjoyable. From what I have heard is that if you walk around this park once from start to finish then you have done a mile. There is a huge pond with ducks and a beautiful rose garden. There is... More

This park gets a lot of use from a variety of folks and families enjoying the playground, gardens, green spaces, trees, etc. You may find people testing their tightrope walking skills, how to use a broad sword, playing a musical instrument, or just relaxing in the open air or having picnics or birthday parties. The park is kept clean and... More
