We overnighted in Sacramento and right across from our hotel was the Rose Garden. It is so peaceful and the roses tower over my 5foot 3 frame. There are so many varieties and they smell awesome. Also in the garden area that you can walk to is the California Firefighters Memorial, a Vietnam memorial and the Capitol building adjoins this... More

An excellent park whether taking a stroll or having a group activity. Well kept, very clean. Lots of trees of many kinds make it beautiful.

They have free yoga on Saturday mornings, near the rose garden. Awesome instructors, just bring a mat and water. You might catch Matty the dog trainer there, weddings, baseball games, tennis games, kids at the playground.Always something going on..the only downside is the parking. You might have to park a few blocks away if you dont get there early.

All my kids played here and now my grandkids do too. Rose garden is beautiful and the pool is great for families. The playground has been burned down a couple of times and nobody can figure why someone would do that. But truly a Sacramento favorite.

Took a quick trip here while waiting for a wedding to start across the street. I loved all the ducks, geese, and turtles. I'm a sucker for things like this.

Just recently visited this beautiful park, very serene and not over crowded. There was a yoga class going on and it was a wonderful experience watching everyone stretch and relax in unison. The rose garden was spectacular. Will take my family there when they visit.

I've been to this park several times during my trip to sacramento. Every age has something to do from the newly renovated playground, to the pool, basketball and tennis courts, running and jogging areas, place to just stop and enjoy nature in the middle of east sacramento.
