This is a lovely park to get my 10,000 steps in. The view is beautiful. Unfortunately, sometimes it seems to be more of a dog park with animals both leashed and unleashed running the walkway.

McKinley Park is a gem of a park! It is the local park for McKinley Park neighborhood (named after the late president). Over the past number of years the park maintenance has gone downhill due to the city cutbacks. The rose garden has had a complete renovation, and is now beautiful again - a wonderful place for weddings. The Clunie...

Jogging trail, tennis courts, really fun play area for children, ducks in the pond, lots of trees exhaling oxygen for you to breathe! What's not to like? I prefer my running with hill & valleys, but the decomposed granite trail that surrounds the park is nice for those times when you just want to get in a quick jog. And...

This is a park, not a destination park, but is is a great park, huge wooden play structure, filled with middle class to upper class kids. Lots of nannys here watching their children. The library is not huge but nice diversion before or after the park. The park has a duck pond which is also fun.
Even since the burning of the play area, it has been a little sad. But it is still one of the highlights of our days. All we have to deal with is a smaller area with jungle gyms.
Feeding the ducks is always fun. Just be caucious (sic?) of what you feed them. Don't want them getting sick.
Just a...

Huge, awesome park in East Sacramento. I go here a few times a month. My favorite part is the mile-long path that surrounds the perimeter of the park. Great for dog walks, meeting friends to catch up over a long walk, and solo walks - as you'll never get bored due to all the great people watching. There's families feeding...

One of the many reasons to love Sacramento. The new rose garden is simply beautiful! I enjoy walking the perimeter trail. The duck pond is lovely. My daughter loves the fowl. We attend events at the library. I can't say enough about this park. What gem!
Only thing, be careful running/walking alone at late night. We ( my dog and...

Well I am biased as I grew up by this park. The Rose Garden is lovely and you may catch a wedding there. Took my kids many times to the pond to feed the ducks. Unfortunately there was a fire in the playground but I am sure it will be repaired soon. Jogging trails, tennis, softball fields and lots of...

Feed the ducks, looked at Rose garden and children played in playground. Lovely place to relax or picnic and let children play. There is a public swimming pool.
Lots of activities available here; Tennis, playground, fields for soccer, frisbee, football, etc. There is also a neat older city library on/adjacent to the park as well as a huge community pool (have not accessed the pool so I am not sure how that works).
