This is an awesome place for families. You have the zoo, fairytale land and amusement park to enjoy if you have children. I took my four grandchildren and they had a blast. Great for picnics and family barbecues.

If everyone could live here, they would!!! Not only parklike, but immediately adjacent to and surrounded by a landmark park!! A suburban oasis within the city! Tree lined streets, stately to avant garde homes, walk to the premiere Sacramento Zoo or fantasy land for kids, sit by the ponds, stroll leisurely and safely anytime. Come see, enjoy, come back ----... More

One of the best parks in Sacramento. So many different areas to explore or simply rest in. Gardens, water features, children's play structures, and places for picnics. The park is large, shady, expansive. Within, but only a small portion, is the Zoo and Fairytale town.

A beautiful shady park that has a nice zoo, Fairy Tale town--good for ten and under, Funderland--very reasonalble rides for less then two dollars each. Also good for 3 to 12 year olds. Some rides must have an adult with the little one. Pony rides and horse rides are very short but well done and the staff are excellent. Available... More

We were here to do a photo shoot of our family and grandson. It is very pretty and many different areas to take photos at! Wish we had more time to go through the entire park, but since we know we will back visiting again, we will be sure to make the time to go back and enjoy the serene... More

This park is large and full of mature trees. There's a man-made pond that people fish in, and ducks and geese running around. It's a great place for a stroll or to have a celebration with friends and family. It's also located next to the zoo so make some extra time to walk through the park before or after visiting... More

I grew up coming to Wm Land Park with my family -- especially for holiday family picnics. One of the earliest family photos was taken at the duck pond in the park. Now I live in Land Park and take advantage of our 600 acres every day--walking, entertaining grandchildren, walking the gardens, and shopping the near-by farmers' market on Sunday.

William land park is a great park. Sometimes it can get a little ghetto on the weekends and croweded during soccer season but the good news is that you can drive around since the park is so big and find a nice spot to chill. There is the pond, the zoo, and fairy tale town all in one place so... More

We had a picnic here for our family, while in Sacramento, this is a nice large park, lots of tree shade, tables for family needs, and nice family place to spend the day.

Bring your camera or video equipment to capture the duck pond and its inhabitants. There are plenty of duck families and friends. You'll love it if you like to watch wildlife, ducks that is. You can even watch from your car. It is pretty peaceful too. :-)
