It was a small Zoo, but it was fun for our daughter to experience it. We finished rather quickly since our daughter isn't into reading facts yet since shes two, but it was enjoyable for us adults. I would recommend to see if your hotel was discounts to enter the zoo. Really helped with putting our money into purchasing things... More

Nice exhibits. Well laid out so it is easy to follow children from one animal to another without losing track of them and there is a small nice playground. Easy to see the big cats and most of the animals are viewable for toddlers in a stroller. Great way to spend half a day.

Not a very big zoo but a pretty good one. Best attraction is the giraffe exhibit. Our 3 little kids enjoyed it immensely. We also like the food. It seemed pretty reasonable priced, nice benches under the trees. We will definitely do back next year.

The Sacramento Zoo is great fun for couples and families. Don't miss the giraffe exhibit where you walk up a platform and see the giraffes at eye level. You can feed them as well. The zoo is very friendly for kids.

You can see all the animals in this zoo without much walking. Very nice giraffe exhibit with a raised platform for feeding. There's a window in the tiger exhibit which is awesome when he is resting there. The Rare Feline Center has a Margay, and although he was sleeping, I was very happy to see him. They also recently acquired... More

I had not been to the Sacramento Zoo in a while so we visited over Labor Day. They have done improvements I really like what they have done with the giraffe exhibit, very large platform and a small fee you can feed them. They have more construction going on too. It is a small zoo which helps when you have... More

My husband and I just recently visited the Zoo for an afternoon outing. We hadn’t been there for at least 10 years and had heard they had made improvements since we moved from the Land Park area. When traveling, if we have time, we enjoy spending an afternoon in some of the cities who have operating Zoo’s. What a surprise... More

The new giraffe platform is wonderful. For $3, you can feed a giraffe. They are so beautiful. Volunteers on sight to answer questions. An owl named "Sapphire" had a wonderful helper. A beautiful park to walk around. It is small and easily done in a couple of hours. Go early to beat the heat and crowds. Keep a picnic lunch... More

Even though we have teenagers we all really enjoyed the zoo. It's in a beautiful part of town. Parking can be a walk but it's through a park so there's plenty of shade walking there. It's a pretty impressive size given the location. We will return for another visit next time we're in town.
