Went here as my husband loves his cars. He found 3 rare beauties not seen in Australian car museums- Ford GT, 2 Model K Fords. Worth a visit, we spent 2 hrs

my husband and I stopped here on our way south and my husband really enjoyed the museum. He had a volunteer who went through the car collection with him and gave him lots of history about the car. The cars are laid out well starting with older to newer as well as unique ones for example racing cars and electric... More

We really enjoyed touring this Museum. They had a lot of cars to look at and the people working there were very friendly. They even have a group of cars on display for sale. My husband found one that he fell in love with. All the automobiles on display were absolutely amazing with information written out about each of them.... More

I was bored on my afternoon off and looked on trip advisor to see what was in the area, California Automobile Museum popped up. Not knowing a whole lot about cars but love to learn-I thought "what the heck". :-) I entered thru the door, it's a big warehouse but I was immediately greeted by volunteer staff. Friendly volunteer staff.... More

I'm sure this might be a great place but unfortunateky when I got there it was 4 PM (closes at 6PM) and there was a golden retriever rescue fund raiser going on at 6PM. What this meant was the vendors were already setting up so most of the exhibits were blocked, the ones you could see didn't all have the... More

It can be hard to find. Located in the forgotten patch of Sacramento isolated from the larger downtown by the I5 freeway, The CA Automobile Museum is an unassuming warehouse building but what is inside is incredible. There are hundreds of cars representing each step in the development of the vehicle from the first horseless carriages to modern Lamborghini's with... More

The automobile museum is a large warehouse, they double as a consignment seller for used cars. They have some interesting displays and the exhibit comparing the evolution of the automotive frames was interesting. The focus is on Ford vehicles. The docent was friendly -- maybe overly so. We finally relented and allowed him to give us a guided tour. The... More

Lots and lots of very interesting old cars set in authentic areas. Great to have a couple of cars you can get in an take photos of each other. No aircon and pretty dark in places so photography is difficult.
