Great wine experience

My first choice for wine tasting in Napa. The wines were incredible, all four of them, and Ryan was very knowledgeable and pleasant. A must if you go to Napa.

Of all the wineries we visited on our most recent trip to Napa/Sonoma, Caymus was the least interesting, engaging and hospitable. The property is lovely, but the staff wasn't very friendly and seemed uninterested in educating guests about the wine. We walked up to the main entrance, interested in a basic tasting. Despite the fact that a hostess was standing... More

This is one of my 2 favorite wineries in the area. If you are familiar with Caymus wines, then you already know that they have exceptional wines, but I was a novice to this. The ENTIRE family of wines (Cyamus, Belle Glos, Emmolo) were superb. I like Cabernet because it is not as dry as some of the other reds,... More

Caymus consistently produces some of the best Napa wines year after year. But what keeps us coming back to this destination is the food and wine pairing. The elegant seated tasting is expertly hosted by a knowledgeable and experienced staff member. The pairings are well thought out and absolutely delicious. If you can afford the $40, don't pass up the... More

I enjoy caymus wines and the experience is good. The tasting room does not have much of an ambiance and I am not sure if there are other areas that we just missed. The wines though are exceptional. We enjoy some of their Pinot Noirs, especially Las Alturas and Clark and Telephone. Both are more full bodied than a regular... More

We all know caymus has outstanding wines, but save yourself a trip and avoid the winery. It felt like i was in a herd of cows. They charged me for the tasting before we were poured any wines. Tacky!! We eventually bought a case and they said they would discount the price of the tasting. I will check my credit... More

The wine taster rep could care less about serving us. Maybe if my wife had on a mink coat and I had a sweater tied around my neck, they would have been more interested in the both of us. I should have wore dress shoes with no socks. I mentioned to her that we didn't live too far away, but... More

We were excited to go to Caymus, as we had an occasion to taste their Reserve at a formal event. When we arrived a the Tasting Room, the first Rep poured with zero explanation and left because someone else had walked in and he walked them out to a table, leaving the counter unattended. We then moved outside to an... More

You know the wine. It is that good. Did you know how many other brands came out of the Wagner family of wines? We visited on the recommendation of a friend. Gabe was a great host. Spent an hour with us. Even Charlie Wagner Jr came by to say hello. What a group of really nice people. They made us... More
