The setting was nice, but there were fees to pay upon entry, lines to wait in, impersonal service, and not much information given. Generally, a waste of time.

If you like big red wines, there is no better place than Caymus. In recent years, Caymus has become the consistent top-performer in the California Cabernet arena. The Special Selection is one of the very best from Napa rivaling Opus, Silver Oak, and a few of those very, very expensive wines. The 40th Anniversary Cab was one of the finest... More

Caymus has long been a favorite wine of ours. The Special Selection is always phenomenal, the regular cab is always great (and some years, almost as good as the Special) and the 40 year is truly something amazing! We scheduled a sit down tasting ($40/pp) and enjoyed every sip! We were there specifically to taste their Zin, because we can't... More

One of the highlights of our trip to Napa was visiting this winery. The wine tasting was exceptional which included a tasting of their 40 year anniversary Cabernet Sauvignon, OMG.The setting was upscale, contemporary with country chic touches complete with plenty of seating area in and around their manicured grounds and terraces. A must see, definately try to book a... More

Caymus' tasting and tours are pricey, but worth the extra. You will need a reservation and this is a little drive from the Napa center, but be ready for elevating your tastebuds. The history of the family and the business is very interesting and their cheese is something special.

We visited Caymus on Friday, November 7. We did a private wine tasting and had Esequio (I apologize if spelled wrong). This guy was amazing and so knowledgeable. The grounds at Caymus are incredibly beautiful. Even if you are not a big wine drinker, which I am not, you will thoroughly enjoy this visit. They will teach you about tasting,... More

We had the perfect Napa day when we visited last weekend! The weather was gorgeous so we opted to do our tasting outside. We took our time thus cycling through 3 different hosts. They were all of course knowledgeable, but also helpful with tips for things to see or places to eat in Napa, teaching us tasting tips along the... More

Between the great service, beautiful grounds and world class wines, this took #1 out of 15 for the vineyards we visited. It was also the best value. We got to taste 5 wines and keep a beautiful anniversay edition glass for $35. They had bottles of Fiji water every where to help us stay hydrated, and the staff came around... More

We stopped in at Caymus while biking through the vineyards. We'd had a private tasting scheduled the previous day but ended up canceling because of our schedule. The public tasting was fine and we liked the wines, especially the 40th Anniversary Cab. We bought a bottle with us (just one since we were biking).

We went to several private wine tastings on our most recent trip to the Napa Valley, but this one was especially amazing. We did not realize there were so many amazing wines under the label (http://www.wagnerfamilyofwine.com/). Caymus is know for their killer cab. But the Wagner Family also makes killer wines under several other labels. Belle Glos is their great... More
