I introduced myself to several bottles of Caymus cab when it was on sale at a local liquor store. After drinking a bottle, I decided it was best to laydown the others for a later date. Fitting a visit to Caymus into my April schedule, I wasn't overly impressed. Silly as it sounds, my first turn off was waiting for... More

I have always been a fan of the Caymus Cabernet so I had to go when I was in Napa. They charge a tasting fee for four wines but they are very open to letting you taste their other wines. We ended up tasting some from their special collection and they were wonderful! Our server was very nice and knowledgeable... More

We were pretty familiar with many of the wines produced here but hadn't had a chance to try them all yet. Employees were friendly and had great stories about how each person in the family had a hand in making different wines.

The grounds here are absolutely beautiful! The estate Cab is one of the best I have tasted. Service was courteous and very attentive. This was one of the highlights of a great trip to the Napa Valley. I will definitely join their wine club.

One of the leaders in Rutherford wine county. I only wish I had made an appointment for a private tasting so we could have tasted more of the of wines not in the tasting room. I felt if you were going to pay $50 for the tasting then I would rather have the private tasting. Only after she realized I... More

It was worth making reservations for a private tasting. The guide that we had was very, very informative and interesting. We were able to taste some wines that are not in the flights in the tasting room. Also, some delightful small bites were serverd with the wines. We have long loved all the wines produced by the Wagner family and... More

This was our last vineyard of a 4 day trip. It was late afternoon, though the tasting room was crowded, the grounds and seating were so spacious, you could really relax and enjoy each tasting. The outdoor seating was grouped "conversation style", the grounds impeccable, the slowly descending sun, the best way to show off. Way to go Caymus

Our favorite wine tasting experience during our last trip to the Napa Valley was at Caymus Vineyard! The best wines we tasted during our entire trip and the people were so friendly. You do have to make reservation and pay for the wine tasting but it was worth every penny!

We stopped in without a reservation to try some of the newest releases of their wines. Their program requires you to try a flight and no other choices are offered. We have been long time fans of their cabs and were not disappointed with the tasting of their regular bottling. Did not really care for the other tastes. We bought... More

Been a long time fan of Caymus. Was a real treat after moving to California to finally visit the winery. Typically enjoyed the signature cabernet sauvignon - and on occassion the ever pleasing Special Selection - but on this occassion tipped off to grab a case of their Zinfandel. What a find. Only available at the winery this sub-$40 bottle... More
