We were disappointed. There is potential here being a multi generation winery and some good tasting red wines. However their presentation just does not compare to many of the other wineries in the valley. The tasting room is very small in the wine storage area. The bathroom is dirty. The hosts argued in front of us. Their is not much... More

Well a serious flat tire brought us to this little unexpected Gem of a tasting room. We were greeted by a lovely gal who was easily managing the crowded tasting room. She delighted us in a variety of whites to reds with an emphasis on their reds. But to my surprise, I really like TAPS, this was a sweet Cab... More

It amazes me that this place doesn't require an appointment because the tasting room is so small that even 6 guests make it feel crowded. The tasting room is really just in the chilly barrel room so you get a nice ambiance (but bring a sweater, it's cold in there)! If you like big red wines, you should try to... More

We visited Pina since it was off-the-beaten path. Pina is very small, and the tasting room is really more of a storage area than an official tasting room. While we enjoyed the charm of the smaller winery, there wasn't enough space to accommodate all of the tasters. The two servers also seemed either really flighty or half-inebriated. Pina is a... One of my favorite wineries in the valley. Their cabs rock! And I've had the really REALLY expensive cabs in the valley but, Pina's cabernet's are as good, if not better, at a quarter of the price. If you're looking for a tour, or your in a large party or you're looking for a fancy winery, this place is probably... More

It was so refreshing to visit a winery that was an actual working winery! The owner was there to talk to about his wines and Lesley (behind the bar) knew the family history so well I thought she was part of the family. She said she was Friday/Saturday, but did feel like part of the Pina Family. It seemed busy... More

We arrived late in the day on Saturday after calling ahead for a reservation. This is definitely a smaller winery and that's part of the charm. There were 2 gals working the tasting room. They both seemed drunk and a bit clueless. The majority owner stopped by briefly to say hello-nice touch. Buying wine was a task as it was... More

This is a small, family run operation, making fantastic wines. It was recommended by the concierge at our Inn. The tasting was in the main barrel room. Nothing fancy--just the owner's daughter, the barrels, one employee bottling port, and four of us. Our only regret-- not buying more of their wine when we had the opportunity!

This small, family-owned winery eschews the standard fancy visitor center/tasting room/gift shop for down-to-business, barrel room tastings of the family's small batch, single vineyard wines, primarily Cabs. Visiting Piña is for folks who want to experience these hard to find wines at the source. If you're looking for sunset views of sprawling rows of grapevines from a covered veranda, go... More

Piña Winery located on the the Silverado Trail. This winery is small and family owned. Don't be surprised to see dad, daughter or uncle pouring samples. And some fine wines I would say. Specializing in small lots with limited distribution. Reds our their speciality. A Walk in to their tasting room, which is more like their barrel storage room and... More
