Owner description: HALL Rutherford offers guests a truly world-class winery experience to include a tasting of HALL’s most regaled wines along with an intimate tour through the property and caves. The winery’s 14,000 square feet of caves were designed and built by hand by Friedrich Gruber of Gutenstein Austria. The caves are finished with handmade Austrian brick recovered from sites in and around Vienna and showcases select works from the Halls’ art collection. Deep inside the caves resides a dazzling reception area for private tastings and entertaining. The room’s spectacular chandelier, designed by Donald Lipski and Jonquil LeMaster, is dressed in hundreds of Swarovski crystals.

When we got to the gate we were buzzed in by a very pleasant young girl. We got there a little early because we came straight from the airport. When we walked in we were greeted by Rob.. He welcomed us as though we were honored guests in his own home. Being my daughter's birthday and we had just flown... More

The tour starts with a welcome glass of wine in the guest cottage beautifully situated above Napa Valley. It moves on to the wine cellar built with bricks from an Austrian castle. Kathryn Hall, one of the co-owners served as ambassador to Austria for several years. The tasting room is in a vaulted cellar with an incredible chandelier fashioned to... More

We went with family and friends and loved every minute of it! The tour was informative and having a swig of vino during it definitely hit the spot! And then it felt the heavens were upon us, when we saw the crystal chandelier. It was just majestically beautiful! One of my friends whispered to me that this was the best... More

Great tasting room and amazing cave tour. Started with a glass of Sav Blanc or Pinot for art discussion and cave tour. Enjoyed a 2013 Cab barrel tasting. Cave tasting in private setting. Rob was a great host with informative discussions on the Hall Winery. Must see views of Napa from the top of Silverado Trail.

I don't deserve to be considered a wine tasting veteran, but having visited about a dozen Napa/Sonoma vineyards in the last couple of years, most private tours, some walk ins, I was expecting Hall to be solid but not spectacular. I was wrong! A little tricky to find, but what a unique wine country destination. The Hall's are collectors of... More

Located just off of Rutherford Hill Road it was a tiny bit hard to find (try not to miss the turn off towards the bottom of the hill). On top of the hill Hall has a beautiful view of half the valley. It appeared to be to be broken into two structures, a reception hall/building that has huge windows all... More

My husband and I visited Hall Rutherford and loved everything about it. The winery was beautiful. Beautiful views, beautiful art, a GORGEOUS tasting room. We loved our guide Mark. He was so knowledgeable and FUN. He was so enthusiastic and very different from some of the other guides we have encountered who just rattled off information about the wines. I... More

You must make an appointment for a tour and tasting, but the process is VERY easy and definitely worth it!! The views from the winery are breath taking. We were greeted by Craig, our tour guide, who was very friendly and enthusiastic about sharing the Hall story and wine making making process with the group. The art collection is amazing... More
