This winery is part way up the hills on the east side of Napa Valley. The road does not look like it is big enough to go to a winery, bu it does. Incredible views, great tour and good wines.

Sizable vineyards and winery, very business-like. Tour did not include the vineyards, but the caves were great ! Wines were mediocre.

This was one of our favorite wineries of the day. The port zinfandel was amazing. The service was excellent. The location was beautiful. I would certainly recommend it. $15 tasting for 6 wines.

Scenic location. Wine tasting was a bit rushed as we approached the end of their day.

We bought a bottle and had a picnic lunch overlooking the valley. They provide tables and sunny or shaded area so you can really enjoy the Napa Valley beauty. Wine was a sav blanc and very nice and reasonable priced. Cute shop too.

We not only enjoyed the wonderful wine offered by Rutherford Hill but also the friendly banter with Ernie and Larry.
As a vineyard owner in Iowa, Larry offered some wonderful advice.
They are lucky to have him and the "giant" Ernie.

We were able to tour the caves and enjoyed the spectacular views of this lovely winery. The wines, however, were just average.

I visited the wineries in Sonoma and Napa considered to have the best Merlots. This one did not dissapoint. I took the tour into the cave. The staff is really informed and kind. Since there's no choice for half rating..I go for 3. But to be honest, it's above average..just a bit tricky to say "very good". The building has a very interesting architecture and they got some good Merlot that to me not too overwhelm..very nice!!
