Rutherford Hill winery has a stunning tasting room set in a large old barn. There is a wonderful outdoor area where you can relax and drink, and there are also wonderful views back over the valley. The staff are informative, welcoming and friendly.

This was so much fun. Our teacher, Barbara, took us on a tour with many wine tastings along the way. We had a class of 6 people. We each had a set of professional blending tools and four different kinds of wine to taste and make our own blend. We then got to bottle, design a label and cork the... More

A bigger winery with a tour and tasting. It was interesting but didn't cover the wine making process like I thought it would. The cave system was interesting and the tastings were nice. Beautiful location and a good first experience for my stepson. This is clearly geared for the tourist and is well marketed. I think I would prefer a... More

This is a MUST. The vistas are incredible. The wine tasting is delicious! The staff explain everything from how the grapes are selected, to what to expect from each. And they give you a chocolate covered blueberry to eat and then try the port wine. It was very cool to taste the change in the port wine. Lovely, lovely, lovely.... More

The winery is situated a little on the hill side. The view is great! We did the wine and cave tour tasting. The wine was fine but didn't have a wow factor. The Malbec was the highlight out of the 6 tastings.

Rutherford Hill Winery never disappoints. This time, we enjoyed tasting on a cave tour. I highly recommend it. Next time, we plan to bring along a picnic lunch and enjoy the view.

Every once in a while you get to experience something breath taking. The Rutherford Hill Winery is one. Our group had booked for a small wine tasting out in the rose garden and then had dinner inside the cave. The apps and the wine complimented each other perfectly but to stand at the front of the winery and look over... More

I contacted Rutherford Hills saying we had a group of 14 interested in coming to the winery to picnic. Cindy was prompt and gave us the option of the $100 or $150 for a table and said "let me know when you have a final headcount". A day later, I sent her a note saying we would be 15 people... More

One of the coolest settings in the valley simply because it's nicely elevated above the valley floor. Wines are good, and there's a great variety of red and white. Looking for a place to eat your lunch? Bring some $ and they'll let you use there nice picnic area... BETTER YET, join the wine club and use the area for... More

"Is there something I can help you with!!" Is the way we were greeted by a senior staff member at Rutherford Hill. It was clear that we were not welcomed and discouraged from participating in their wine tasting. My party of three were all fashionably and appropriately dressed for Napa wine tasting Perhaps this establishment discriminates against professional Latina women?... More
