Vintner Hall of Fame inductee Miljenko “Mike” Grgich first earned world-wide recognition when the Chardonnay he crafted won the 1976 Paris Tasting, beating the best of France. Mike then partnered with Austin Hills to open their family-owned-and-operated winery in 1977. Committed to natural winegrowing and sustainability, we farm our five estate vineyards without artificial fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides, rely on wild yeast fermentation and use our passion and art to handcraft food-friendly, balanced and elegant wines. « less

We took a tour of this winery via the Wine Train. Our guide & tasting host was very informative and knowledgable about the history of the vineyard and its wines. This winery is rich in history as one of the few remaining family owned wineries in Napa. The wines are exceptional and decently priced. At the end of the tour... More

Grab a glass and bring your camera! You're gonna love Grgich! We booked a private tour and luncheon for a large group and had a marvelous time. Not only was the wine top-shelf, the grounds are gorgeous and the guides are great. One of our favorite stops in wine country. Highly recommended!

You can find this wine everywhere but the winery still has that small feel which is lovely. We stopped this time because friends with us are going to their sister winery in Croatia. We got to taste the Croatian red wine. It's earthy. I'd recommend sticking with the California wines!

Great little winery with a fascinating history. Served by the wonderful Andrew who was full of information about the wines, the grapes and the local area.

This was so much fun. You stomp fresh grapes in a half wine barrel and step out onto a t shirt. The t shirt is a great souvenir. This is great for adults and children. Adults have 3 wines to taste. I found a great wine that I loved. It is called Violetta (pronounced vee oh lee tah) after the... More

Grgich wines are sure winners. Tasting room is nothing like many of the other wineries. But their wines sell themselves and don't need a fancy place. It is a small roadside tasting room, with smooth and consistently good product.

The tasting room for this winery is super cute. We had Linda as our wine expert and she was great. The wines were all very good, but not good enough to pack and take home to Chicago, so we didn't leave with any. The tastings are in the room where all the wine barrels are stored, so it's a little... More

I have always wanted to stomp some grapes and this lovely winery allowed me to do so. At a low price of $30 I stomped grapes, tasted three wines and got a t-shirt with my grape stained foot prints. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. A nice winery, stop in for a visit.

As wine club members, we can receive up to 4 complimentary sit down wine and cheese pairing tasting ($200 value). We had a wonderful time. Our host, Yonic from Nice was very hospitable. The tasting included the anniversary chardonney, 2008 and 2010 cabernet sauvignon, 2008 Younville selection (100% cab), the 2011 chardonney, and the Violet Late Harvest. Each tasting (except... More
