Vintner Hall of Fame inductee Miljenko “Mike” Grgich first earned world-wide recognition when the Chardonnay he crafted won the 1976 Paris Tasting, beating the best of France. Mike then partnered with Austin Hills to open their family-owned-and-operated winery in 1977. Committed to natural winegrowing and sustainability, we farm our five estate vineyards without artificial fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides, rely on wild yeast fermentation and use our passion and art to handcraft food-friendly, balanced and elegant wines. « less

This was our favorite vineyard tasting in Napa or Sonoma. Our sommelier was Carlie Steiner and she was amazing! My partner and I are not serious wine drinkers and could easily have felt intimated by the process. Carlie instantly made us feel at home with her joking, light-hearted demeanor. At the same time, she taught us a lot about the... More

We went to Grgich to do the wine stomp and tasting. Very nice place. Wine was really good, we got to taste a few of the wines and the gentleman pouring explained each one. The same glass was used for each tasting without being rinsed out, so that sorta surprised me. The stomping was cool and you get a t-shirt... More

Let me start by saying that I'm not a wine drinker. Well at least I wasn't until visiting Grgich. The wine isn't just a drink here, it's a work of art. The passion they have for wine making shows in the excellent wine they produce.

Four of us took a private tour last week I was Simply the best wine tasting and tour experience we have had in the Napa area. Marty, our guide, made the visit not only educational but enjoyable as well.. The wines are tasty and affordable. If you only make one tour in Napa, make it Grcigh,

We visited shortly after the winery opened on a weekday morning and had a really enjoyable tasting experience! The property is small, but there's a nice garden in front of the tasting room. The tasting room felt woodsy, although there was little natural light. Our guide through the tasting was really great--knowledgeable about the wines and excited to tell us... More

We took a tour of this winery via the Wine Train. Our guide & tasting host was very informative and knowledgable about the history of the vineyard and its wines. This winery is rich in history as one of the few remaining family owned wineries in Napa. The wines are exceptional and decently priced. At the end of the tour... More

Grab a glass and bring your camera! You're gonna love Grgich! We booked a private tour and luncheon for a large group and had a marvelous time. Not only was the wine top-shelf, the grounds are gorgeous and the guides are great. One of our favorite stops in wine country. Highly recommended!

You can find this wine everywhere but the winery still has that small feel which is lovely. We stopped this time because friends with us are going to their sister winery in Croatia. We got to taste the Croatian red wine. It's earthy. I'd recommend sticking with the California wines!

Great little winery with a fascinating history. Served by the wonderful Andrew who was full of information about the wines, the grapes and the local area.
