This California State Park is a hidden gem in the delta and easily accessible from the Bay Area. From January through March the campgrounds are green and lush, and are adjacent to an offshoot of the Sacramento River. Usually at that time of year, however, only one of the two main campgrounds are open -- which is not an issue,... More

We go there for day hikes, but it has camping facilities, even a cabin for rent. Many folks we know camp there and enjoy the fishing.

This park has a swimming area in the far end of the park along a slough. There is no beach, but there is a grassy area you can set up chairs. The young grandkids did enjoy playing in the water, but it was muddy from all the people churning it up. Did not appeal to me. Very little shade overall... More

We stay in the group campground #6 which was at the end of the park. This was one of 6 group campgrounds for large groups. Each site has picnic tables, fire ring, water spigot. In the middle is a super large fire ring for a real large campfire. There are paid hot showers and private bathroom stalls. There are sinks... More

Better than your basic state park site. Good power water and waste. No WiFI, but lots of views to the open sky. There are basic showers and toilets available if you need them. I wish I had a boat to fish out of this campground, The park has great access to ramps and endless water. Sites were fairly level and... More

visiting in June, even though on a weekday, we figured a park this close to major population areas would be packed. Turned out to be virtually deserted. There are something on the order of 130 campsites - maybe 10 were in use. It's an "out in the open" place in the vast flats and waterways of the delta - so... More

Been here twice now and have been so impressed. The camp hosts are very nice and are present, keeping an eye on what's going on. The shower took quarters and was absolutely spotless. The sites are huge, plenty of space between campers. I've had a nice shady spot both times. If you like to walk this is your place. Over... More

Was here for Memorial Day weekend, We had site 71 and this spot is pretty big, you can put up your tents, gazebos, and other contraptions and there will still be enough room to run around. The only problem with this site and surrounding is that your tent will get blown away. Ours was almost blown out of the stakes... More

Great boat ramp has many lanes, many dock lanes, much trailer parking 8 ramp lanes. I think 4 docks very nice. Campsites coin op showers are very clean. Campsites; some shade some are next to levee. Marina or docks are closed for a bit. CA state stuff. Nonetheless the Ramps are super sweet.

We booked a group site (30 peoples) for last weekend and seriously had an awesome time except that it was windy during day which is fine but in night it keeps getting more and more windy. When you check weather, PLEASE check the wind speed too... Pros: - Nice & quite location - Spacious for 30 people group, we were... More
