Lived in Redlands for years but never went until recently and had no idea just how much history is there--original documents, uniforms, tools letters and a lot more memorabilia that I can't begin to list it all. The volunteers there are very knowledgeable, kind, and patient with all the visitors large and small! A great place to go!

The Lincoln Shrine does a great job of education about the Civil War, especially for Californians who might never get to the battlefields & museums in the East. But even if you've been to those places you'll find this place interesting. They describe themselves as the only Lincoln-specific museum in the western states. They explain well how Lincoln's views evolved... More

The Lincoln Memorial inspires one to remember that we are Americans, and what we stand for. Pride is surely one of the emotions that one feels seeing this shrine.

Yes its a shrine to Mr. Lincoln but its also a wonderful Civil War and Presidential museum and an enjoyable history lesson for everyone. Great exhibits such as an original Norman Rockwell painting. Well managed, well financed, and staffed with knowledgeable and helpful docents.

The Lincoln Memorial Shrine is small in size but rich in artifacts and information. It's a real gem for history buffs. It's small enough that even my 93 year old mother was able to enjoy walking around the museum without being overly tired. Small but mighty. If you have any interest in Lincoln and the Civil War, you will enjoy... More

I visit this place monthly. It has a wealth of vital documents, and artifacts from the Civil War. Awesome exhabits. Bring the family, they love to show the place off and it should be seen . Much to appreciate here. Second Wednesday of the month at 6:30pm a roundtable meeting occurs. Friendly people bring a friend.

Wonderful exhibits and awesome stories. During special events is when you get the full benefit and usually on Lincoln's Birthday in February.

The city and the sponsors/supporters put together a great collection of Lincoln memorabilia. This is worth the effort to see and a great history source for students and serious history buffs.

While the entire Redlands Library system is excellent this is a one of a kind exhibit and worth a casual peek or a day of intense study. Either way it is an interesting place. It is staffed mostly by volunteers so be kind and be positive and you will receive the same in return. Bring your kids and enjoy the... More

Very interesting about the Lincoln and the history of living and fighting in those days .A lot of reading so bring your glasses so you don't miss anything and give yourself plenty of time to see it all so much detail in all the displays and artifacts .Make sure you go to the other side it's beautiful Garden.
