This is a nice place to camp, especially if you're a Redding area resident. Located below Shasta Dam, it's close to the river, the Sacramento River trail and has great access to hiking. All the other trails around the north state are closed because of snow but CHappie-Shasta was not so we decided to check it out. It was worth it and have to say this will be our first pick next summer.

A group of us went with our ATVs for the holiday weekend and it was a blast. They have everything here camping, fishing, OHV area with over 300 miles of trails.
