The trouble started with a change to our reservation dates. After a prolonged long distance phone call and a request for the manager, we were "allowed" to move our four-day stay one day ahead, without a "cancellation" charge. We arrived on the appointed day, and were greeted by another rude employee at the desk, who informed us that we were... more

My mother, husband, and I recently stayed one night (August 16). When I booked the room I asked for a room on the first floor because my mother is in a wheelchair . I also asked that we have two beds in the room, be close to the main building, and have any feather bedding removed. When we checked in,... more

We only stayed here one nght but enjoyed our short stay. The scenery around the hotel is beautiful, our room was in Block 8 and on the 2nd floor and although I had read other reports prior to arrival I was pleasantly surprised with the quality, the beds were heavenly and the air conditioning a quiet but necessary blessing. Our... more

Peninsula pricing w/marriott service. What a fiasco! In my effort to reach the concierge (which is the service "face" of any good hotel)I called the main number listed at the website and got the golf course. They gave me an 800 number which tumbled me in to voice mail twilight zone. I never did reach the concierge - after two... more

Stayed here ONE night. I say one night as I scrambled to change reservation as soon as I checked in. I had stayed at this hotel many years ago and it was nice. Has NOT been updated since. Exterior is in need of good paint job and pathways are deteriorated and decaying. Room was like a slightly better Super 8.... more

This resort is extremely isolated. I took a six mile walk outside the ground between endless "gated communities" without encountering a single public space, not even a 7/11. If you want to go to town, expect $70 cab bill round trip. The hotel has no shuttle. Though the resort has two gigantic "concierge" desks in the front lobby, don't expect... more

I visited in August 2006. I expected to have a resort that was four star, I ended up staying in a solid three star. I checked in and ended up in a "deluxe room" that turned out to have a great deal of water damage to it's vaulted cieling. It made the stay feel as though the ceiling might fall... more

My children and I just returned from a stay here. We had a great time. Check in was fast, smooth and courteous, the grounds are beautiful and our room was comfortable. It is a rather large resort; they hand you a map when directing you to your room but I found ours with no problem. The main pool off of... more

I read the reviews of the Westin Mission Hills Resort and I am not sure why there were so many negative reviews. Let me preface this by saying we got an incredible deal on Priceline, and my expectations were low after reading the reviews. Having said that, we had a very nice time at the Westin Mission Hills. The resort... more

Wow, I thought we were picky, but apparently not compared to many on this forum! We just returned from 4 nights at the Westin, and we're already talking about going back in Jan.'06. First the bad... I will agree with others that this property doesn't quite live up to some of the other Westin properties, for example, we visit the... more
