Course was fun to play and they have a 4 hour round goal and we made it no problem even with a full course. Putting green by the first tee is fairly small so you might want to putt first before heading to the Dye range area. Nice facilities and helpful staff, recommend playing it.

From beginning to end this was an experience to avoid. Upon arrival we were notified by the director of golf that my wife and I couldn't play today because they were having a shot gun start event. Upon this I presented him with a copy of 11:58 reservation through tee times.com. Before allowing us to proceed to the pro shop... More

Not one of Pete's more diabolical layouts. For the most part it is very playable although there are a few very tough holes. Very nice facility, but the service was mediocre and the course conditions were good, but not great.

Dear scurryman, Thank you for your review! This Pete Dye is not as difficult as some, that is for sure. We look forward to a return visit in the future and thank you for playing. Have a great day! More

A typical Pete Dye course, with strategically placed bunkers on the fairways and well protected greens. Very enjoyable but you need to be straight off the tee. Plays a little long due to the well protected greens. Friendly staff and a good pace of play.

The course is convenient to the hotel and rental villas and a shuttle is available if you prefer to leave your car parked. The play tends to be slow due to vacationers and 5 hrs is not unheard of. Conditions are a currently bit better on the Player course.

Dear Ricki21, Thank you for playing our facility! We are happy that you enjoyed your time. Pace of play is our top priority and we typically manage to a 4:15 pace. As our time par, we shoot to meet or beat that time, but rarely go over. As far as course conditions, we are working overtime to get the Pete... More

Played this course last year and was looking forward to it again. However, the greens are bumpy, patchy, slow and in bad shape. Apparently they know it too as they are thinking about closing the course on Monday (Dec 14). They will need a lot longer than that to repair the horrible mess. Won't be back this season. Please don't... More

Dear victoran5, Thank you for your honest review of our facility. We do appreciate this feedback as it helps us moving forward. With that said, the greens are getting better every day and we are working overtime to make this happen. Meanwhile, our Gary Player course is available and is in fantastic shape. I do want the opportunity to have... More

Played the Dye Course on a very nice day in the 70's. Staff was very nice. Course had been overseeded but due to warmer weather rye had not fully come in so fairways were patchy and greens were somewhat spotty and slow. A bit bumpy as well but that may have been due to heavy traffic.

Dear dpd0843, Thank you for playing our facility! We have been blessed with great weather over the last few weeks. It is great to hear that your experience with staff was great. As far as the greens, we did just overseed. The grass is still a little bit young but it gets better every day! In fact today we dropped... More

the Pete Dye course at the Westin in Rancho Mirage is a great course. It has wide fairways which is very forgiving for the average golfer. There are some challenging holes but the 18th has got to be the signature hole. If you have the opportunity it is worthwhile playing.

Maybe because i scored best here after playing several others, but i did like this course the best. No trick holes, unreasonable carries, or impossible shots for a high handicapper like me. Very scenic. Friendly pros and starter. Marshal came by regularly to keep tabs on the groups and help out. Greens were a little hard to read, and my... More

The course was in great shape, hardly anybody out there. It was 110 degrees. The course is a little difficult, but still fun. Price was very reasonable, summer rates. Not very scenic, and pretty flat, but still a great course.
