Absoiutely beautiful grounds, and well appointed rooms. It is not trying hard to seem upscale or hip. It is "toney", and an excellent place to visit even for one night
I played here in November and was pleasantly surprised not only by the price, but the layout and the condition of the course. It is a short course and I played South/North. It winds through a condo project but if you can hit the ball straight at all, they don't really bother you. It is an older course and they... More
The course is a good challenge, with lots of par 5's so you can bomb it down the ample fairways. Greens are slow, but maintained. The staff at the pro shop is great, very helpful. There was some work being done to the fairways, but we were still able to enjoy the round. I especially liked the abundance of water... More
We first visited Rancho Las Palmas 20 years ago with our children and we liked it then, so now we put friends up in the hotel and they have also liked there stay there I have visited the spa which is lovely and we eat at their restaurant
I bought a golf time on Golfnow, The course was in fair shape for a country club, greens were recently aerated but not disclosed on the Golfnow website. Also the greens were brown with lots of dead grass. The fairways were fine, carts are fairly new, staff great. In the past there were a lot of members on the course... More
The country club and hotel are so beautiful, you feel like you are back in the 30s when you drive up. The grounds are incredible, always meticulous. We come here quite often and have never seen an "off" day!
Played this course with a friend. It is situated the course takes in the ravines and is up and down most of the holes. Makes for some fantastic shots and long drives. The course was in excellent shape with greens tricky. Had a great time. First nine ravines and second nine much flatter. fees were great at twilight. Good Golf... More
The course ( West-South) was in mostly good shape. Tees OK, fairways good, greens OK ( but really hard & very slow!) Staff sucked! They were much more interested in each other than in the players ( i.e. - cart guy / starter ) After waiting for him to finish talking to buddies, asked about starter. Only to be snapped... More
This is our second time at Rancho Las Palmas. The hotel is lovely and we were booked into the room we asked for. Rooms are very well appointed and the bed is very comfortable. The main area by the adult pool is gorgeous. There is a variety of seating and it is all plush and comfy. As always, we were... More
The maintanence of this golf course is exceptional. The various nine holes are challenging but not frustratiinly difficult. There are plenty of sand bunkers as well as water hazards to add to the experience and a lot of hills and valleys. Overall a pleasant outing for a 15 handicap.
