Sacramento Children's Museum's opened our doors in 2011 with a mission is to spark a passion for life-long learning. We are accomplishing our mission by providing a place where children are encouraged to think for themselves, expand their problem-solving abilities through creative exploration, and exercise both their bodies and their minds. The Museum's hands-on environments provide children with a gateway for opening up their minds to developing new abilities, building confidence, and making connections between their dreams and real world experiences.

Interactive, educational play station for every age.

A very packed entertainment center for children. Amazingly surprise in the size of the museum and the offerings they had for different ages. The children could certainly be kept... read more

I am from out of town and new to this museum. It was nice but pretty average. We stayed for about two hours. There was story time which we participate in and enjoyed.

I visited with my toddler granddaughter and a friend's toddler (about 15 months each). There is so much for them to safely do. We spent 2 1/2 hours and only left so the girls could nap. Check out the water room, 5 and under area, and the art classes.

Fun, interactive, and educational experiences for little tots. Great place to take your pre-school age kids. Beware of the water play, it's addictive for the little ones so make sure they put on the provided waterproof apron first! The painting area is fun too, although a bit messy. I never did understand why it's called a "museum" but so be... More

Take the kids, grandkids, fun interactive. Children like it. A easy educational jaunt for the family.

The restuarant has a very good appearance. We went there with our family who we were visiting. The wait staff and management were very friendly. I ordered the fish and chips. The fish were small pieces that contained quite a bit of crust. The skinny fries were good and plentiful. My wife ordered the turkey dinner which she enjoyed, however... More

We were there during "space month" but the theme changes each month. There is a separate section for children 3 and under so you don't have to worry about the very little ones getting bumped. For the 3 and above group there are science area, painting areas, water areas, and role-playing areas. All are very well done. On the day... More

A very packed entertainment center for children. Amazingly surprise in the size of the museum and the offerings they had for different ages. The children could certainly be kept occupied and busy for an hour. I certainly recommend going there during the weekend. During the week bus loads of children from different schools converge in the museum. Adequate sittings for... More

We took our 4-year-old grandson to visit. He had a blast. Lots of interactive things to explore. He especially like the wall with clear pneumatic tubes where you can place a ball or scarf in the tube and watch it fly around the tubes before shooting out. He also liked the water tables which let you use different toys or... More

It was interesting, I thought there would be more things to see. wee are in the State Capitol. My seven year old is pretty smart for his age. He was a little bored. My son enjoyed it for the most part.
