We stayed for two nights. Lots of walking along with the light house tour. The accommodations and a little dated for some folks but we loved it. So quiet and isolated it was a wonderful visit. More

The lighthouse is well restored and the museum staff has interesting information so I really liked the visit. At the top of lighthouse it is possible to see whales too bad that I did not see any. More

I was fortunate enough to grow up on this part of the coast. One memorable field trip we were allowed to walk around the outside of the Fresnel Lense! More

The volunteers do a fabulaous job of making this a must see stop for any North Coast visitor. Take the climb up the lighthouse, allow at least an hour to read all of the exhibits in the visitor center. Great gift shop whose prices are very reasonable for high quality merchandise. And the whales pass by within a couple of... More

it's out on a spit of land, and looks like it belongs back in the 1940's. The view is gorgeous, and the people there are very nice. More

I really liked staying in the Keepers room. It had a gas stove and was really unique in that the ocean could be viewed on both sides of the point from the room!! Wven the bathroom had a view. We had huge winds and gigantic seas breaking that night.Talk about a magnificent spot!! More

This lighthouse located near the Pacific Coast Highway 1 north of Point Arena has 140 spiral metal steps to the top where you can whale watch or just wait for the next earthquake on the San Andreas Fault to hit at Alder Creek a couple a miles east. The tour costs $7.50 per person and includes a well designed museum... More
