Had a great time at our first music event at the winery. The atmosphere and music were great. Beautiful sunset views also surrounding hills. Had an awesome bbq prime rib dinner and of course lots of wine!

visiting Helwig Winery is a treat especially during the summer concert series. Great wines to choose from then take your bottle of wine and enjoy it sitting in the amphitheater area looking back over the Sacramento valley. Last year we got to see the Little River Band the concert was great. Billy Bones BBQ was serving up some great food.

Wow! I saw Helwig on the hill as we were driving to another winery. The facility is striking and the setting is beautiful. The wine is good but honestly not as good as a few others that are in the same area. Still, we would go back if we're ever in Amador County again.

We went over there for wine tasting and picnic in the back. We were asked if we had reservations, (he only asked us) made me feel like he was a bigot, he continued to be rude the whole time we were there. I think that he was the owner because he wasn't doing much of anything else.

The top spot for views in Shenandoah Valley. They have concerts as well as other events. Love their red table wine. Worth going for the view alone.

Great Location on the top of a hill is the wine tasting room and Winery and Amphitheater. I attended a dinner in the Cave at the Winery what a cool place considering how hot it gets in that part of Calif. during the summer. They do weekend entertainment with a band of different kinds. This weekend it was a Country... More

The concert was great. The winery was so well organized for this event. Loved the food, seating was well done and so was parking.

The grounds at Helwig Winery are so beautiful! The views in the back of the winery by the amphitheater are incredible! The wines are good, my favorite was their Barbera. On Fridays evenings, during the summer months, they have a summer concert series. They have food available for purchase. They also have numerous concerts in the amphitheater. We saw Pablo... More

We visited here on July 11, 2015. Nice variety in tasting line up. Beautiful facility and grounds. Entrance and drive to tasting room is nice! Make reserves ahead for wine caves.

We stopped in here on the way down the mountain and we are so glad we did. We had a chance to talk with Scott the winemaker and learned a ton about the property. Coming from So Cal they make great wines that are priced where you can enjoy them without cringing every day. The property is pristine, would be... More
