What a difference a few years make! It has been several years since we last visited Renwood winery. The old winery was certainly charming in a "wine barrel" sort of way, but the new winery/tasting room is so elegant and sophisticated while still exuding amazing warmth. From the moment you enter the Renwood grounds, it is clear that a transformation... More

Good food, great band! Renwood did a fabulous job during the big crush event. We sat back in comfy overstuffed outdoor furniture. The band was going, we snacked on good food and employees served wine to us as we sat and enjoyed the ambience. It was a great time.

First time in this part of California, (why are wineries on twisty, turny roads?). I was with two friends one who is a wine club member and purchased wine, we had A+ service, and yes, Janny(Johnny) was there, I think our server's name was Judy, she was awesome! We loved sitting outside and enjoying the 'flights' of wine tasting. Beautiful... More

Our last stop of the day and we were pleasantly surprised, two of the four of us had been there before and did not like it. The wines were much better this time and they had a nice cheese platter and turkey sandwich for sale. We sat outside after wine tasting with a bottle of tempranillo that we also purchased... More

The wine was nice. The tasting room and facilities were attractive. The staff was very nice. But... We went for lunch. First they take us to a deli counter and offer us a plastic wrapped sandwich or plastic container containing a salad to choose from. I was a bit taken back as I was expecting more of a restaurant feel.... More

Don't bother! No one to check us in. Not at all ready to serve us. Had to ask for silverware, salt and pepper, serving utensils. Each took about 5 minutes to arrive and thus food was cold. They took 5 minutes to plug in the toaster. Not all food out until 30 minutes into the brunch. Food selection very limited.... More

This is a beautiful place to visit. Inside or outside is lovely. Fun! Great outdoor seating area. Very upscale interior. Wine was good too!! I missed this place the first few times I came up to Plymouth, but won't pass by it anymore.

The Renwood winery in Amador's wine district has a large, recently remodeled tasting room and an adjoining deli and gift shop. The house specialty is zinfandel, with tasting fees set at $5 or $10 per person depending on the flight selected (as is customary, these are waived if you purchase a bottle). Our server was very personable and really seemed... More

Renwood certainly has identified itself from the ordinary wineries up in the Amador region. A $5 million dollar renovation has definitely changed my thought on this amazing winery. Restoration Hardware cushioned chairs and sofas, adorn the exterior (a few firepits as well!) The wine tasting room is an immaculate perception of the finer things in life, only to compliment the...
