We wanted to do something out of the ordinary for our friend's birthday. The Cave Tour was perfect. They definitely know what they are doing as we were very prepared for the day. I was nervous that I would be cold but they have all the gear to keep you warm and safe while out. I was also nervous about... More

My wife and I thought it sounded great when we booked it but the night before, we started to worry about the water being too cold or too much paddling. But we went for it and were glad we did! The wet suit, boots, and wind breakers kept us warm and even thouh we had never kayaked, we paddled through... More

Spent the day with my wife kayaking with Central Coast Kayaks and we were NOT disappointed. We are both experienced kayakers but this tour offered some unique opportunities to paddle through several cave and rock formations along the coast. You are asked about your experience and adventure level (1-10) because some of the cave openings took some courage. All kayakers... More

This tour is not for people who are not physically active on a regular basis. If you are in good shape, you'll be fine even with little kayaking experience. My biggest complaint is that the guides do not tell you the surf conditions. On the day we went there was a high surf warning that I learned about after the... More

My wife and I took our son and daughter (ages 11 and 14) for a kayak excursion with Central Coast Kayaks. The team at CCK provided all the gear we needed, and it was a short walk down to the beach. We had two kayak guides out on the water who were both fantastic as we explored the cave structures... More

Stopped off at Central Coast Kayaks with my 22 yr old daughter as part of our Highway 1 road trip in late July '14. We booked by phone 24 hours in advance, and got 2 places on the 8am tour. My daughter has previous experience of kayaking, I had none. We did the sea cave trip. What a great few... More

We signed up on a day where there were southern swells, the first in weeks apparently. We are both good swimmers but novice kayakers. The water was smooth going out but soon the swells came in. Some caves were very challenging with white water rushing through. I managed to get through all but one, Cole was helpful and supportive. John... More

We had some fun kayaking from Pismo Beach, and there was a lot that was positive, but it wasn't what we expected nor as good as other kayaking tours we've been on. First the positives. The team know what they are doing. The kit was good, the briefing comprehensive and John, our guide, has plenty of experience. We saw some... More

My husband and I did this on our honeymoon, and it was a blast! Definitely one of our favorite things we did along our California coast tour. We had never been kayaking before, but our guides gave everyone instructions before getting out on the water. We did the Cave Expedition and would definitely recommend it! We got to kayak through... Pismo beach was a welcome change from the big resorts and cities along the Californian Coast, which was a big surprise as we came here as a stop over from Monterey to Santa Barbara. It has a charm of its own and, for us, captured a slice of America that we had not picked up elsewhere. Our most memorable activity... More
