Stopped off at Central Coast Kayaks with my 22 yr old daughter as part of our Highway 1 road trip in late July '14. We booked by phone 24 hours in advance, and got 2 places on the 8am tour. My daughter has previous experience of kayaking, I had none. We did the sea cave trip. What a great few... More

We signed up on a day where there were southern swells, the first in weeks apparently. We are both good swimmers but novice kayakers. The water was smooth going out but soon the swells came in. Some caves were very challenging with white water rushing through. I managed to get through all but one, Cole was helpful and supportive. John... More

We had some fun kayaking from Pismo Beach, and there was a lot that was positive, but it wasn't what we expected nor as good as other kayaking tours we've been on. First the positives. The team know what they are doing. The kit was good, the briefing comprehensive and John, our guide, has plenty of experience. We saw some... More

My husband and I did this on our honeymoon, and it was a blast! Definitely one of our favorite things we did along our California coast tour. We had never been kayaking before, but our guides gave everyone instructions before getting out on the water. We did the Cave Expedition and would definitely recommend it! We got to kayak through... Pismo beach was a welcome change from the big resorts and cities along the Californian Coast, which was a big surprise as we came here as a stop over from Monterey to Santa Barbara. It has a charm of its own and, for us, captured a slice of America that we had not picked up elsewhere. Our most memorable activity... More

I took the Sea Cave Tour with my family and the experience was fantastic. We signed in they had our wet suits and other gear all ready for us. Once suited up, the guides went over some basic kayaking skills and then we were off. All through the expedition the guides were taking pictures and pointing out wild life. We... More

We did the cave tour and were so happy to see dolphins and whales and seals, from a distance but still super cool. The caves themselves were fun to go through and the guides did a great job leading the group through areas we certainly wouldnt have gone through on our own but felt safe on the tour. They do... We had a great time kayaking with our hosts Marc and Trevor who made sure we were ready for each upcoming cave or wave. Yes, we kayaked into some interesting ocean caves. I left knowing Central Coast Kayaks is a very professional run kayaking business. It was FUN and they made sure it was safe.

My son and I had great fun in a tandem kayak going out to sea. Make sure you wake up in time for this treat as it starts at 8 a.m. Everthing was well arranged, suits in the right sizes were ready and the boats were waiting for us at the beach. The tour is beautiful and you really do... More

I have kayaked before, but they showed me some new techniques. We entered caves with some good swell and waves coming at us, but found it no problem. I normally wouldn't do that , but Pro John, did demonstrations first, and there we go !
