Stayed at the shore cliff best western a few nights and would often go for a walk to the pier. Nice friendly atmosphere with a nice clean beach. I would recommend a visit Evan if just for a day. Great beach and pier, great eating, cool shops. Was my second visit and probably won't be my last

Visited Pismo area in mid-March. Took a drive from the hotel in search of late breakfast. Settled for a coffee from Honeymoon Cafe and walked around town, down to the beach. Pleasingly surprised they had a boardwalk and a pier. Area was clean and beautiful! Check it out if you're in the area!

You have to take a stroll to the end of Pismo Pier. It is just a wonderful beach thing to do in a cute beach town.

This is an expansive, beautiful beach. Just lovely. There were lots of shells and sand dollars to see, lots of interesting birds. There were a fair amount of people, but the beach is so wide there's plenty of room. They had playground equipment on the beach in a couple of places - nice. But, mostly we just like to walk... On our first visit to Pismo Beach, I took my wife for a walk on the pier after a fine dinner and quickly realized that the pier was not designed for high heels as hers got stuck several times. The next morning we decided to arrive early at the Pier and try out some fishing. First off, had to pay... More

The pier was well worth the visit. Great views of the beach and shoreline. It was clean and well maintained with no license fishing permitted. They rent poles and sell bait on the pier. Very strict about not feeding the pigeons. A good thing.

Was a very short walk from the SeaVenture, where we were staying. Made for the perfect afternoon stroll!
