I grew up in the area and the pier has always been a staple for us. It has great views and friendly people ( in the daytime) at night there are some shady characters so be warned. But go visit, people watch, watch surfers. See the view talk to locals and travelers it's lots of fun...

While a walk on the pier is nice, there's really not much spectacular or noteworthy about this particular pier. While some piers on the California coast boast restaurants, shops, and even rides, if you go with such expectations, you will be disappointed. There is a small snack shack, but aside from that, it is a basic wooden pier jutting out... More

This pier is wide enough for fishermen and tourists. Nice views of Pismo Beach and the surfers below.

Awesome beach, played a little and watched a beautiful sunset over the ocean. Met some friendly people from various parts of the country. Pier was busy with people watching for whale activity off shore.

There really is nothing special about this pier. People fish off of it and walk it. You can watch the surfers and maybe even see some whales and dolphins from it as we did. Looks like most piers. There are some benches but watch where you sit. Lots of bird droppings. There are also pay viewers. It's a pier.

The pier was pretty uninteresting. It's a nice enough walk and probably worth a look if you're in the area but I certainly wouldn't make a special trip!

Moments where we had a very enjoyable and I believe people need for happiness. Rehabilitation of body and soul refreshing herself with friends and also with his wife and children in this place and relax and enjoy life. And when it returns to regret

I'm not fond of piers/boardwalks in general. Usually crowded and dirty and stocked with cheap merchandise. This was better than most. We had ice cream and looked at hats and walked around. The beach is lovely.

The Pismo Pier is a relaxing place to walk. You can watch the surfers, the waves and people walking the beach. This is a very long pier, there are fishermen, catching dinner, children and lovers walking out to the end over the wooden boards to watch the sunsets. There is also a gift shop just after you start your walk,... More

This place used to be cool when I was younger...or at least I remembered it that way. Now that I have two children of my own, I couldn't wait for them to experience the Pismo Beach of my youth. My husband and I were so disappointed. The boys didn't quite mind because they didn't notice the things we did. The... More
