The pier is always fun! Great views to the south and north. When the waves are on watching the surfing is great, you're right on top of the take off spot for the south side rights! Good view of sea otters(all day) dolphins(morning) and humpback whales(summer) It's fun and free.

Nice walk out a long well maintained pier. Beautiful view of the surf and surfers. Watch for the apparent resident brown pelican he hangs out at the end of the pier. Great photo op.

I was driving down the 101 fwy heading back to Southern California and decided to stop in Pismo Beach to allow family to unwind...ended up staying there for 4 hours! Place was great and not crowed at all compared to So Cal beaches. I was able to park at the beach for free and enjoy all the attractions that the... More

Probably one of the most popular beaches besides Avila beach, but much larger and less crowded. This is a great beach to walk, build a sand castle, watch the surfers etc. The dock is large and long. Fun to walk out on and watch for sea life, and take in the beautiful central coast scenery.

Nice Pier in Pismo Beach. A lot of people go out there every night where it is nice to watch one of their beautiful sunsets. But not too crowded. Maybe in the summer it gets to be crowded, but it wasn't when we were there.

After lunch at Ventana Grill, we all headed over to the Pismo Pier for a walk with our little baby grandson. This was his first visit to the beach and we all had so much fun with him! The Pismo Pier offers beautiful views of the ocean and surrounding area and on the weekends there is a small gift shop... More

I can't remember the last time I was on a pier and didn't enjoy it. We visited both day and evening. Evening was fun because it was foggy and that added to the mystic. Just like any other pier you have your homeless hanging around but they weren't bothering anyone.

We enjoyed watching the surfers as we walked out on the pier. There is nothing special about it other than a good place to take pictures of the bluffs where the hotels are. We did have to pay for parking near the shops and the bathrooms were not very well kept. You are able to fish here without a license... More

Walking out on the wharf to watch the sun set was a perfect ending to our day. The breeze was cool but not cold and the seagulls floated around watching us to see if we would ignore the rules and toss something to them...we did not so they moved on. You could still see surfers in the waves and the... More
