Decided to take a coastal camping trip this year. The first stop was Pismo Beach, Wow, so impressed... a nice place to start the adventure. After day one, my youngest daughter (13) wanted to rent a surfboard to try her luck. Dad insisted on a lesson to "learn" to surf instead of burying her head in the sand, as Dad... More

I walked this pier w/2 little boys. Plenty of room for us all to walk and explore. Pretty rough thot. Wouldn't try to take anything w/wheels on it.

This is one of the larger piers on the California coast. People were walking, fishing and watching water birds when we were there. You can rent a pole and try fishing or just walk or sit and enjoy the ocean air. 2 hour parking is free within two blocks of the pier. Parking wasn't a problem but it wa a... More

Authentic, laid back, low key. No tourist attractions, just a nice view over the beach and the ocean. Very pleasant!

The pier at Pismo beach has become one of my favorite places in Cali. So peaceful and beautiful. Sitting on the pier with my hubby was very romantic. We also enjoyed watching all the surfers. Great shops and restaurants. We cant wait to go back!

We visited the pier during a busy weekend. Lovely pier and great views. There were lots of couples, families etc enjoying the beautiful weather an superb views. Parking in the area can be a challenge so it was nice to park a couple of blocks away and walk down.

It was fun to watch everyone fish from the pier. I made my husband and grandson get up early every day of our Pismo Trip and I wanted to get a great parking spot and a great fishing spot. Nothing like it!!!!!

This is a typical pier, really nothing else on the pier. There are a ton of fishermen, and a place to rent poles and gear. Good view, especially at night to look towards the town. Nothing special.

The Pismo Beach Pier isn't a tourist-centered pier like in San Francisco or even Santa Barbara. This one, while offering great views of the city and ocean, serves the young and old, rich and poor alike. Plentiful parking nearby in lots or on city streets. Fishermen of all ages and backgrounds try their hand from the pier. Watch the surfers... More

The pier was definitely worth checking out. Basically we just wanted to stroll to the end of the pier, snap a few pictures, etc. At the end of the pier, we saw a pelican perched on a light watching the people fish. When a fisherman dropped his fish on the pier, the pelican swooped down for it. The fisherman had... More
