Like stepping into a 1950s time warp but watch out for seals and make friends with the pelicans! The fisherman don't catch much and there isn't much to see but a nice bracing walkway.

As piers go, this is a nice one. Lots of "turn-outs" as opposed to just a straight pier. The boards on this pier are definitely uneven so it's not a great place to be walking in bare feet or in heels with your gal after dinner. There were a lot of people walking the pier at 9pm at night -... More

Somewhat dirty, but because of the birds. Nice view of the beach. Lively with lots of people. Relaxing.

Love walking and watching the surfers. It's a very romantic way to spend your evening. Great shops and places to eat.

Restaurants close very early in Pismo Beach, nothing to do after 9:30 pm. We tried to buy an ice cream and could not find any.

Heaps of fisherman everywhere on the pier but great to walk and have a look into the ocean. Sea lions everywhere.

They could have ruined this pier with tacky entertainment or cheap food stalls. Instead, it is a simple and lovely place to walk across and enjoy the fantastic view of the beach and the water. Fisherman were aplenty when we visited and all were friendly. A really nice stroll as the sun set across the horizon: just beautiful.

A nice place to have a walk down if you are in the Pismo beach area. Lovely views and on a hot day it is very nice with an ice cream and some friends/family. We really enjoyed spending an afternoon in the area. Great restaurants all surrounding the pier and bathroom facilities.

Although we have visited the beautiful Central Coast countless times over many decades, this trip included a number of firsts. It was the first time we stayed in a hotel in Pismo Beach and our first time out on the pier. The weather this last June was nothing short of magnificent. Our hotel was a half block north of the... Lovely views over Pismo beach, views of the sea birds and pelicans, old traditional pier to walk down.
