The is pier is a great place to take a cup of coffee and watch the fishermen and the surfers. Bring shoes, it's not a place for bare feet.

An morning stroll out to the end of the Pismo Pier is a great way to start the day. Lovely view up and down the coast, surfers enjoying a morning on the waves, birds and the soft lap of the waves. Breath in the fresh air......

Overall, this area is good and when they have a festival like Halloween or summer festival it is a great place for the family. But this area tends to be packed in terms of traffic and is very commercial.

I just found out that you don't need a fishing license to fish from this pier! Well, that's now on my list of "what haven't I done in a long time?" fun activities around town. I'm a local, but still get a kick out of the rustic, oddly-shaped pier (check it out on Google earth)! People watching: The locals and... More

We enjoy walking the Pier area in Pismo Beach, Ca and enjoying the views. We also enjoy seeing the fishermen. The first wharf was originally built in Pismo Beach in 1882; and in 1924 a full length pier was built. In 1985 there was a significant storm which led to major renovation of the pier that is in use today... More

Nice history of this pier! It was built so many years ago and was partly destroyed by a storm, and rebuilt. It is extremely long but history has it that the original was even larger. Had a nice walk and the area beaches are clean and not very busy.

My girlfriend and I have been to Pismo Beach for 3 nights and went out to Pismo Pier on every single eve. It's a 1/2 mile long Pier, all wooden with a small snack shop (only daytimes) and a bait shop on it. There were fishermen all day long, and all night! The highlight was definately (Mr) Rich Love, an... More

This is an aged beach town. Pier is big and a nice walk but has pigeon/bird poop everywhere. Surfers in the water enjoying the waves.

This was one of the nicest beaches I have ever Been to. Clean from the sand to the bathrooms. Great views. Not over populated. Breathtaking.
