Beautiful pier with fishing available without a license. They will rent you polls but we haven't tried it yet. The view is fabulous

Pismo is like the great beaches of California back before monster hotels went up and commerce took over them. It's a sweet small town hide away.

Great variety of surf shops, restaurants & bars. Superb choice for families of all ages, the boardwalk is great on a sunny day & all amenities are within easy walking distance. Wish we could have stayed longer

Very crowded and where all the tourists are. Not really worth it unless you are staying downtown and can walk to I.

The pier is a major landmark visible for several miles along the 101 freeway, framing the world class beach and the adjacent cliffs. A raised boardwalk intersects the pier and both lead to the downtown tourist section.

It's a pier. Although very nicely built, this pier doesn't really set itself apart from others. We did enjoy walking down it, watching the fishermen, surfers, and birds. The views were beautiful, and the people were friendly. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby.

Nothing more than a pier with a few shops close by but nice view of the ocean. Good view of the surfers close by and nice weather

Pismo beach has left a lasting impression on us. Clean air. Sunshine. Clouds. Wind. Ocean view.smiling people, happy people. A real good experience! Peaceful. I even played a couple spiritual tunes on my saxophone, and no one complained(smile) next time i will bring fishing equipment, and maybe i will catch a perch,or two. Our next getaway will probably be Pismo Beach,baby...oyeah! Muata,and... More

This pier was rebuilt some years ago. Large side wings added with nice picnic tables. Nice little store mid way on pier to buy snacks, souvenirs, and rent fishing poles. No fishing license required on California piers. The sides and ends of pier are always busy with fisherman. Grab a spot and watch the surfers, people watch, and enjoyed the... More

Fun walking out on the pier although as a handicapped person it is difficult to walk on because of the uneven planks on the pier. Very easy to trip. There is a fee to park down near the pier but there are some great t-shirt shops down near the pier.
