Handley has been around for years and makes a broad spectrum of wines. Their Gewürz is a tad sweet and very aromatic, a definite buy. Three Pinot Noirs, each one very fine; we bought one. And a Sauvignon Blanc with some Sémillon that is in a screw cap but would be better with some age, still a fine choice for... More

Handley is our favorite vineyard in Anderson Valley. The service here is phenomenal! When you join the wine club you feel like family. On the day of our most recent visit (Dec 13, 2015), we shot hoops in the cellar with the some of the team! Oh, and we did some barrel tasting as well. Wine club members can also... More

Be sure to stop as you won't be disappointed. The tasting was free and the pours plentiful. The Pinots were my favorite. The gentleman who served us was extremely friendly and knowledgable. They also have some interesting items other than wine for sale.

We have been Handley customers for a number of years. We are so pleased that they are refocusing on their loyal customers. The red wines from this winery are amazing and priced well. I would recommend that anyone stop by and get to know the wines and consider the membership options.

Lots of wineries in this region claim to have great Pinots, but so far, none can hold up to the Russian River varietals. We tried Handley' s and frankly like the rest of the Pinots in Anderson valley they come up a little short. Typically more tannic and not a lot of fruit forward taste....also doesn't linger on the back... More

Sometimes its good to divert from an itinerary. While in Anderson Valley we were following the WSJ itinerary. Handley Cellars was not on the list, but definitely a MUST if in Anderson Valley. This by far was our favorite winery. The wines are wonderful but the people who own/run the winery are even better. They took the time to explain... More

We have been visiting Napa and Sonoma wine areas for over 30 years. This was our first time in the gorgeous Anderson valley along beautiful winding Hwy 128. After a one night stay in Mendocino, it took us just one hour to arrive at Handley. Our host Chris was absolutely the best! He was so friendly, down to earth, fun... More

We stopped here on a whim and I'm so glad we did! I was expecting great Pinots (which they did have), but I was so pleasantly surprised by their whites! We were so impressed, we joined their Wine Club!

We spent a day tasting wines, heading south from Ft. Bragg on the coast. The Anderson Valley is just beautiful, with a winding road that is surrounded by redwoods. Handley is one of the two northernmost wineries on the trail, and therefore one of the first we came to. I had done some research, and had chosen to come here... More

We happened upon Handley Cellars on our return trip to Sacramento down scenic 128. We called and were delighted to find that a tour of the winery was available in the few minutes it took us to arrive. Our tour was informative and enjoyable. Our tasting included some of their best which were delicious. We were not pressured to buy... More
