In a huge lobby, these folks have an impressive variety of heirloom and non-GMO seeds. They also have people who know their stuff. They have a nice selection of quality tools, books and magazines on organic gardening, too. Downstairs, they have even more seeds and tools. The only thing I don't like is that they're closed Saturdays and major holidays.... More

We walked around the store but didn't buy anything. If I need seeds or any planting tools I would go there again. The building is beautiful and the displays are interesting.

It's pretty easy to get seed packages for one's home garden, but the varieties offered are mostly the standard ones. One has to go online to purchase more unusual varieties - or go to The Petaluma Seed Bak if in that part of CA. Beautiful vintage bank building outside, beautiful racks of seed packages inside, plus smaller racks of magazines,... More

A great layout in an old bank, this place has all the varieties of seeds imaginable, with knowledgable people to help you sort through the choices. If you are looking for a variety that grandma planted this is where you will find it. Besides the seeds, they carry gardening accessories and everything related to growing your own. Worth the trip... Liked the variety of plant seeds you could buy. Too bad we could not purchase them as we were from Canada and customs will not allow us to bring these seeds into the country. Loved the history of the buiding itself and the decor of the place!

This is a very nice collection of seeds. The sales clerk was knowledgeable and friendly, but busy. Would have liked more help answering questions, but understand the limited staff.

Wandered into this unique store on a trip to Petaluma. Located in a former old bank building, it retains the charm and décor of a period bank, now filled with flower and vegetable seeds of varieties that astound you....very low key, you can wander and look, and the staff is there to help when you need it. Quite an interesting... More

There is something for every type of gardener, homesteader, reader, eater, human being at this store. It is in a cool old building also so that is another reason to visit and check it out for yourself.

Great place to purchase non-GMO seeds. They have an excellent variety and very helpful employees. If you're looking for hard to find veg seeds, then you should definitely check this place out.
