In an old bank building, this business has to be the best of its kind. They sell some interesting, not-main-stream garden implements, but their claim to fame is the humongous variety of seeds. The whole first floor is devoted to every conceivable variety of vegetable, flower, and herb seed known to humanity. There's selection of bulbs and garden implements downstirs.... More

When you walk into the old Sonoma County Bank building you won't find a teller, but you will find a wealth of seeds of just about every kind. There must have been seeds for at least 50 different kinds of tomato plants alone. The people are really dedicated to preserving seeds of all kinds, and helping you to find what... More

Located in a big, beautiful historic building the Seed Bank is a great place to wander around in. There is a lot to see. Aisles and aisles of seeds, garden accessories and gardening books

Went looking for a certain ind of zucchini seed. Almost anything you could need, lots of heirloom seeds. It's housed in an old bank building, so its good size. But they carry a few garden tools and signs.

This place should be designated as a city heritage spot just for the absolutely amazing selection of heirloom seeds for just about every vegetable imaginable. They also carry some locally-crafted items as well as local honey (GREAT FOR ALLERGIES!).

Exceptional selection of organic and heirloom seeds along with some gardening tools - downstairs there are additional supplies along with a room air plants. Lots of fun, the staff really knows their business and seem to love working there. If you love to garden this is a must.

Excellent seed store. They carry an enormous selection of unusual seeds and some handmade goods. Parking can be a challenge so go up two blocks to the garage on Keller St. off Washington.

We missed this on our first visit to Petaluma, so we wanted to stop in this trip. We have purchased seeds and plants on line for several years. We picked up some more for our garden this trip. The assortment is great. The building is unique and I found one of the staff members very helpful. The music was a... More

Not only do they have enough seeds to keep you busy browsing for hours, but the building is beautiful. Love the architecture! The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Your only problem will be narrowing down your seed choices.
