We missed this on our first visit to Petaluma, so we wanted to stop in this trip. We have purchased seeds and plants on line for several years. We picked up some more for our garden this trip. The assortment is great. The building is unique and I found one of the staff members very helpful. The music was a... More

Not only do they have enough seeds to keep you busy browsing for hours, but the building is beautiful. Love the architecture! The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Your only problem will be narrowing down your seed choices.

If you're a conscientious gardener this is the best place to buy seeds locally. They have the best selection of heirlooms I've ever seen. It inspires me to try new (to me) varieties. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful.

In a huge lobby, these folks have an impressive variety of heirloom and non-GMO seeds. They also have people who know their stuff. They have a nice selection of quality tools, books and magazines on organic gardening, too. Downstairs, they have even more seeds and tools. The only thing I don't like is that they're closed Saturdays and major holidays.... More

We walked around the store but didn't buy anything. If I need seeds or any planting tools I would go there again. The building is beautiful and the displays are interesting.

It's pretty easy to get seed packages for one's home garden, but the varieties offered are mostly the standard ones. One has to go online to purchase more unusual varieties - or go to The Petaluma Seed Bak if in that part of CA. Beautiful vintage bank building outside, beautiful racks of seed packages inside, plus smaller racks of magazines,... More

A great layout in an old bank, this place has all the varieties of seeds imaginable, with knowledgable people to help you sort through the choices. If you are looking for a variety that grandma planted this is where you will find it. Besides the seeds, they carry gardening accessories and everything related to growing your own. Worth the trip...
