We stumbled on this location by accident, but quite a gem of a stop. The light house is under re furb so you cant go in it. However the ocean view is amazing. We spotted grey whales in the ocean and sea lions bathing. The toilets are terrible but this is a minor detail. Worth pulling over for!

This old and disused lighthouse station is on a stunning part of the Northern Californian coastline. Sadly the lighthouse needs some considerable renovation, I hope they raise the funds they need to complete the restoration. This means that you cannot get a good look at the lighthouse. However you can walk past the lighthouse and sit down and admire the... More

Came with my son's Cubscout den for a tour. Volunteer docents very knowledgeable in talking about history of lighthouse. Great views of the ocean. We were lucky it wasn't foggy.

The Light Station is worth the drive. This point of history and the beautiful vistas were well worth the drive. There is a hostel in the old staff buidlings next to the light house. I wish I could of spent a night in this beautiful spot.

We were driving Hwy 1 north from Capitola to Half Moon Bay when you see this lighthouse way out in the distance. We stopped several time looking for the best vantage point. Depending on the time of day this lighthouse from either the north or the south is extremely photogenic. Here is s shot taken from a field just south... More

I took my wife here for her birthday and we had an absolutely wonderful day. We saw whales spouting from the observation deck, loved the lighthouse itself and all of the awesome views.

On route 1. The lighthouse and the huge fresnel lens makes an interesting 30 minute stop. The view from the point is spectacular and mesmerising.
