Nice view!

The lighthouse is nice, but the highlight for us were the marvelous view! I wouldn't go there especially but as a stop on Highway 1 it's definitely worth it!

My family and I really enjoyed this place. It's a nice historical place with an awesome view of the ocean. It also has a nice little trail and access to the beach. Loved it.

50 miles south of San Francisco, just a little off the highway and perched on a cliff, this 115 foot lighthouse is one of the tallest in the US. It has been guiding mariners since 1872. Restrooms, gift shop, pay phone and picnic tables near the parking lot. A small public beach is nearby and the staff provides tours.

You can stand or sit and just enjoy the view. I get the most calming feeling when here. They have a Hostel where you can stay. The park is always kept clean and the walking paths wide and clear of objects. I would like the see it enclosed for those brisk chilly days.

You wouldn't want to make a special trip to visit this lighthouse, but if you are driving down the coastal highway, CA 1, between Half Moon Bay and Santa Cruz, this is worth pulling in and having a look. The lighthouse itself is currently off limits, they hope to restore it so that visitors can actually go in, but the... More

We stopped here to use the facilities (not good) and got way more than we expected - lovely lighthouse on the rocky coast, gorgeous original lens on display inside the nearby building, and a sighting of dolphins and a seal from the deck - all in about 15 minutes! Then we were back on the road enjoying all Hwy 1... More

It is very to get to and has wonderfully ground flowers around the lighthouse an cliffs. As retired Coast Guard I alway enjoy visiting lighthouse. This one is in need of some rehab work which a non profit is working on, so we could not tour the lighthouse

A great place to view the ocean and we saw a grey whale swimming by! Definitely worth while to stop at this place!

Nice place to stop and see the ocean. Lighthouse in disrepair but there is a nice museum with a first-order Fresnel lens exhibited.

We stumbled on this location by accident, but quite a gem of a stop. The light house is under re furb so you cant go in it. However the ocean view is amazing. We spotted grey whales in the ocean and sea lions bathing. The toilets are terrible but this is a minor detail. Worth pulling over for!
