No distinction between fairways, tee box, greens and the beach. Best waste of money in S California.

While the views from every hole are wonderful the serious golfer will be very disappointed with the condition of the fairways. Several weeks ago the fairways were cored and sanded, it is still hard to find a spot with more grass than sand. If you are there for the views and experience go, if you are looking for a course... Spyglass is a tad bit tougher than Pebble, Spanish or other nearby golf courses and deservedly so, after meandering up hills, down undulating fairways to greens, you will simply love this course.

I played Spyglass before and it was my favorite of the 3 Pebble courses. This time round the fairways were cored and the greens were very slow. Still a beautiful course though!

Spyglass is a golf course for the avid golfer. It is a huge test from the appropriate tee. Don't push back. The folks there treat you right and the golf course is what you paid for!

Spyglass is the hardest course in the Pebble Beach Resort trio. If you are more than a 12 handicap, don't go there: it's too hard. That said, it is a damn sight cheaper than Pebble Beach, and offers its own charms. Most first time players are surprised by the very limited views of the ocean. Only the first four holes... More

Absolutely stunning course. Several holes are blind shots with some greens elevated and not visible. Definitely need a caddy here! Cheaper than Pebble too.

Spyglass was my favorite course on property. Yes, it is even more fun then Pebble. I have never played a course that it as unique as this one. There are holes on the ocean, in the woods, in neighborhoods, and on roads. The course was in fantastic shape. I was a 7-handicap golfer at the time, and the course kicked... More

This review is coming from the viewpoint of a non golfer. I'm just another tourist who traveled the 17 mile drive, and got hungry, and was looking for food. The Spanish Bay had multiple places to eat, so I figured this place will also, right?? WRONG! They have one crummy "Grill" that isn't even a sit down restaurant. You order... More

The day my son and I played Spyglass I had one of those rare days where I hit the ball so well with my irons it made the course seem easy. When I did miss however, the number got big fast. Spyglass is lush and green with bright white bunkers, tree lined fairways and a few ponds here and there.... More
