Very interesting tour about the historical significance of this winery to the region. Highly recommend the tour.

We must have missed something because we were not impressed. It was a very busy Saturday and we had to wait a bit to find room at one of the tasting bars. We were shuffled between three different servers as each seemed to have something more important to do. The wines were okay but we like others in the area... More

We have previously had Tablas Creek wines at home, from a SF wine store, K&L. They are very good French blend types of wines at a reasonable price. The problem with visiting any winery it seems is that the prices at the winery are more than the prices one would pay retail, but with that exception, this was a winery... More

Take a winding drive through the hills to the west of Paso Robles and you come to a quiet, graceful winery that enjoys one of California's best reputations. Tablas Creek Winery and its founder, Robert Haas, are justly celebrated for their faithful, painstaking development of true Rhone-style wines on American soil. Haas has partnered with French vintners since the late... More

The new tasting room is spacious with multiple tasting bars. Staff are knowledgeable and let you make up your own mind. You should go here because (1) it is way out on the prettiest wine drive in California - the Westside, (2) TC is the original Rhone style winery that made the full commitment to Rhone style wines, (3) their... This is the place to taste what all those Rhone varietals are about. Nice low key tasting room. Beautiful grounds. Be sure to purchase some grape vines to take home.

We went on a weekday in low season and failed to make a reservation for the 10:30 free tour of the property. When we discovered that we were the only two people there, I advised the attendant that it would be fine if they did not want to take us on a tour since there were just two of us.... More
