I've been going to Tobin James for years. This iconic tasting room is a fun spirited place for groups of all drinking ages. They have the merchandising thing down as well. I own several TJ shirts, magnets, and wine stoppers. On a nice day, you can sit outside on their mosaic patio and have a snack after tasting.

We were on a roadtrip to LA, when we came across a large number of wineries on this particular route. We didn't even know there were wineries here, so we had no idea which one to stop at. Tobin James seemed the busiest and so we stopped. We are so glad we did. We were immediately welcomed, and so were... More

We stopped in for a tasting and had a great time! The wines were fantastic and the customer service was superb. We were able to try whatever we wanted from their normal and reserve lists with no charge. The quality of their wines is excellent and the tasting room was very warm and inviting. We really enjoyed our time here.

The first time we went to Tobin James was in September 2014. My wife and I, being the ones that really enjoy the wine tasting experience, fell in love with this winery the moment we entered the tasting room. Having previously worked in a tasting room, I'm somewhat knowledgeable of wines. I also know that the attitude of the person... More

We belong to The James Gang, Tobin James' wine club as I really like their Zinfandels. Another member had told me about their guest house, so I decided to take a trip to Paso Robles to try it out. First off, lets talk about the price. At the time it was $200 per night, which is reasonable. However, if you... More

Stop by on our way down to SoCal.. It was great find. Selection was good, prices reasonable and service was outstanding. We ended up buying way more than we planned. :)

Our group of friends stopped here on the way into Paso Robles to visit the operation. One of our primary planned events was to do the TJ party on Saturday night, but more of that on another review. The staff inside could not have been more welcoming and knowledgeable about their products, vintage and history. Tasting were excellent and we... More

Folks here could not have been more friendly. We were warmly greeted by Gaetano and he treated us like royalty. We spent about 40 minutes with him, sampling wines and spinning tales. What a blast!!! We saw other folks having great times with other bartenders as well. Sampling here is FREE. We took good care of Gaetano of course. I... More

Popped into Tobin James for a quick tasting and had a very nice experience. All of the wines were delicious, our server was friendly and attentive, and the wines were all reasonably priced. Would return again.
