I tasted in several wineries on my Paso weekend and found TJ to be the most fun of all. The setup for tasting lends itself to bringing people together and the staff seems intent to make it fun. There are several tasting areas in the room, sort of like small individual bars, so your experience is very social. Not like... More

Fun winery, wines were good and prices were far more affordable than others in the region. Great experience and we look forward to receiving the wine club shipments.

Location is great, people were so nice and the wines are yummy. Would highly recommend checking it out. We liked it so much I joined their wine club. They even served appetizers which were amazing. Will be going back again for sure.

We have been visiting here for almost two decades and always enjoy this place. It is the "must visit " winery on our itinerary every time we go to Paso. Delicious "jammy" zins are their specialty, and they are generous with their complimentary pours and even let you try anything they have open at the time even if it is... More

I stopped in yesterday with my wife, young boy and mother-in-law to let my wife pick up a quality Merlot on the way home from Monterey. What began as a pseudo-rest stop created Tobin James fans for life.. When we pulled up, the parking lot looked like a Newport Beach car dealership, stretch limos, Beamers, high-end SUV's etc. My wife... More

We love visiting Tobin James, the "Rock'N'Roll" winery to us. The wine is great and very modestly priced (reds for us). We have been a wine club member for several years, and it's a great value. The tasting room is fun and friendly; the somewhat Western theme is fun. Warning: this is not a place to go if you are... More

We happened to be at Tobin James on my birthday and the woman serving the wine for tasting gave me a free bottle of champagne. My husband loved all of the wines he tasted and ended up buying a case of 2 bottles of 6 of the ones he liked the best. He also signed up to be a member... More

The exterior art and interior of the winery prepare you for a fun time tasting and enjoying friendly staff and an upbeat atmosphere! And you just can't beat Tobin James wine. It's located on Union Rd. and Hwy 46! Don't miss it! We were so glad we stopped!

My opinion this is one of the best wineries around. Love the western style tasting room, like an old western saloon. Main bar is mahogany brought out from Missouri. Love the wines, especially the Barbera. Worth a visit, even if just to see and do some shopping.

One of the best known wineries in Central Coast, Tobin James is certainly a must-visit for the Paso Robles wine explorer. A bit far out on the east side from the city of Paso Robles, but convenient and easily found off of East Highway 46. There's a wide selection of enjoyable wines. The kitschy Western theme gets old after a... More
