This was the first time I have ever heard a wine referred to as a pizza wine....and I LOVED it!! The woman who was giving the tastings was so friendly and knowledgeable about the wines and had such a fun personality. This was the last winery that we visited on our tour and I'm so glad we made it here.... More

Besides having very good wines, the staff was so nice and friendly. They didn't mind chatting with us and explaining their wines. They also had dogs running around. So sweet! Great patio with beautiful view. You will enjoy this place.

This is a quaint, lovely location. The Barton family loves sharing their family photos, antiques and wine with their visitors. We loved the Barton wines and Grey Wolf Predator wine which was newly released. We went on a Friday afternoon, so it was not busy and we did not feel rushed as we have at other wineries on weekends. This... More

stopped here during Zinfest. Tasting room was a bit small, and at the bar very tight. Staff was friendly and poured a good taste of each wine. Found the wine to be somewhat average and not quite up to some of the other wineries in the RTE 46 area. Still it wouldn't hurt to stop and have a taste.

I love the Roussanne-Marsanne blend. It is rare to find a winery who actually has real Roussanne and not a different clone of Viognier. The french oak gives it nice complexity. . The Zinful Cab is pretty good and I think the blend of Zin, Cab Sauv, Petit Verdot abd Cab Franc. The upcoming new releases are tasty, and I look forward... More

Conveniently located on W 46. Not the best wine in Paso Robles but worth a wine tasting stop.

Grey Wolf, 2174 Hwy 46. By mentioning the ad, we were give free tastings. The price otherwise is a modest $5 (a tip jar allows balancing this offer). The tasting room is in a older and modest house, with some of the “antiques” visible. The house bathroom is available to visitors. Only one of the seven wines we tasted was... More

This is it; the quintessence of Paso Robles wines - boutique winery, small production, attention to detail, massive ethereal wines, personal service, astonishing value. A highlight visit amongst many similar, but not all so excellent, in the region. I used to think that Puglia, Italy or the Languedoc, France were where the best value reds were to be found but...
