... and this wine is great! I was fortunate to attend a small private function at Calcareous. Jackie was our host and she was fantastic at helping us "Connoisseur" the wine. The facility is beautiful as well, to match the wine of course. Wonderful time, wonderful place, wonderful taste.

I was anxious to return, after three years, to Calcareous Vineyard. At that time winemaker Jason Joyce had to cancel our appointment as his child was ill (all fine now) and he offered to send over some wine for me to taste from home instead. Well, he sent six bottles! So I invited some pals over and we did a... More

Calcareous is one of my very favorite wineries in Paso. The wines are consistently excellent, the scenery is breathtaking, and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. It's a great place to linger at during a leisurely wine tasting day with friends. On weekends, they offer food and wine pairings at lunchtime - warmly recommended. Sitting with a plate of munchies... First of all, the Calcareous wines are extremely delicious - I love all of them from the Lily Blanc to the Moose to the Tres Violet and everything in between. Worth the visit right there! But then, there is the view, the atmosphere and the staff! Beautiful, Inviting. And so much fun in a group or knowledgeable people. I take... More

We had a lovely relaxed wine tasting. We also were offered some freshly made grape juice, which was delicious. We were also offered to wonder around and see the harvesting but we didn't have time as we wanted to go to one more winery. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. What is making me write a review is their... More

Wine from Calcareous, although a little more $$$ than others in the region, is well worth the extra expense. Calcareous wines have a complex quality to them. From nose to finish, their wine will splash and dazzle you with many twists and turns before they fade...more than a few have a long finish. The view is great from the top... More

By far, this winery is well worth the visit. Spectacular views await. There is outdoor seating available and a very nice winery for tasting. There is a restaurant although service is limited to the weekends, I was told. Another great feature is horseback riding. You'll have to reserve ahead of time for the ride. Mick, the horseback ride guide is... More

Several delicious red wines that pair nicely with the fantastic views! Sturdy patio furniture and umbrellas makes this a great picnic spot. Since this is a bit out of the way it was not crowded. Bonus!
