Friends recommended this winery and so took a drive out Peachy Canyon to visit this winery. Fabulous is all I can say. The view is spectacular and the wines are even more so. Definitely one to go visit.

Unbelievable hilltop location with views forever. Their wines are all top notch. This is a place to go and sit and have some wine and relax and enjoy the view. Bring some snacks, or order one of the several food items they have (I think on the weekends only).

We stopped here on our way going to another winery. Beautiful venue. Great view of the countryside. The wines were excellent. We would definitely come again.

I would rate the experience at Calcareous Vineyard excellent based on the location, the tasting room and their wines. We recently decided to take a more leisurely pace on the drive back to LA from the Bay Area. The scenic drive down the 101 although longer sure beats the boring 5 and the Central Coast wineries are a great half... More

Thoroughly enjoyed the drive up the winding Peachy Canyon Road (take it slow, but savour the green surroundings and shady curves), but the best is the stunning view from the top. We went on a weekday, so no option to enjoy the excellent Thomas Hill Organics food, but took our own (Trader Joe's sourced) picnic and settled in with a... More

Go here for lunch on a beautiful day. They pair their wines with Thomas Hill Organics food, what could be better! I had already had lunch at THO so I just left with a case of their incredible wine.

Went wine tasting with family on 12/30/14. Calcareous Vineyard is at 1200 feet atop of a mountain with breathtaking views and beautifully landscaped grounds. Weekends they offer wine & food pairings featuring local organic foods - which we didn't get to do but next visit I will :) The very large Tasting Room is warm and cozy. Staff was very... More

As we drove our way from the Adeida Road area of Paso to Calcareous I mentioned to my wife that the winery was noted for its view of the Salinas River Valley below. Those notes about the view did not lie. This was the perfect view to end our day of wine tasting. The wines themselves were good though nothing... More

Our large group (14 people) was looking for a winery to do a picnic lunch and we decided on Calcareous based on some rceommendations. I dont think that we could have settled on a more beautiful spot to do so!! We picked up our picnic lunches from Red Scooter Deli and headed on to the winery. The narrow, winding Peachy... More
