Our large group (14 people) was looking for a winery to do a picnic lunch and we decided on Calcareous based on some rceommendations. I dont think that we could have settled on a more beautiful spot to do so!! We picked up our picnic lunches from Red Scooter Deli and headed on to the winery. The narrow, winding Peachy... More

Experienced Calcareous on our trip in October of 2013, we went there for the winery and the Outback Horse Ride and loved the view. First we went on the horseback and then came back to the winery. It had started to rain and we really wanted to sit outside for lunch, but the staff set up a table for the... More

If you are trying to visit a zilllion wineries in one day,,,don't go here. Its too special to rush through this gem high on a hill with 360 degree views all around. Just the drive out Peachy Canyon Road is special. The wines are superb with the Zinfandel as our favorite. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and relaxed. The grounds are... More

Went here with a large group and the staff was overly accommodating of us from the first phone call. Everyone there was very helpful and personable. When you arrive you approach up a steep driveway and when you reach the top the vista is breathtaking. Their buildings are new, modern and well maintained and the grounds are incredible. Tiled patio... More

Calcareous is pretty far off the beaten path in Paso, which can be a great thing, or it can be disappointing. The view from the winery is quite beautiful. The wine itself was fine but did not wow us. We did buy a bottle and enjoy a picnic, but I would probably not return for a second visit.

The view is what sets this apart from all the rest of the wine makers in area. It is a long winding road to the top. The tasting room is a large open beam area which sells t shirts and hats of the winery. As with most of the wineries, they have reds! There is a food and wine pairings... More

Wine and venue excellent. Try the pizza and the 2010 Lloyd the Zinfandel is worth a try. Hannah was great. The view of the valley wonderful.

This place has an amazing view and I know that this is not what wine tasting is about, but they do have some great wines. If you want to enjoy a beautiful setting with a glass of wine, definitely stop by for a tasting, especially if you have a free tasting pass. If you are looking for more bang for your... More

My family and I went here for a 21st and 30th birthday. The staff was so nice and set up a blind tasting for us and constantly made sure we had what we needed. The picnic area is gorgeous and the views can't be beat. Definitely will be back.

Just a short drive out of downtown Paso Robles, the Calcareous Vineyards are gorgeous. The view, the settings, and the tasting room are so inviting that there is no reason to go anywhere else. The wines were fabulous and we could not resist purchasing a few before we left. A place to remember and revisit.
