Écluse may not be familiar to you yet but we will be! We invite you to discover us and experience wine tasting the old fashion way – in the barrel room with the winemaker! We are a small family owned winery & vineyard dedicated to producing limited production, hand-crafted, award-winning Rhone and Bordeaux style wines. Located on 30 beautiful acres of gently rolling hillside terroir on the desired Westside of the Paso Robles AVA, our philosophy is to make the very best wines from the very best fruit. Come "Savor the Wine that is truly Écluse"!Cheers! We are a small, boutique family owned winery therefore a reservation is required for groups of 7-10 and must be made in advance. We are unable to accommodate groups larger than 10. To schedule a tasting reservation, please give us a call. We look forward to welcoming you into our tasting room!

One of my favorite wineries

Nice, knowledgeable people who consistently produce amazing, fruit-forward reds. Some of my favorite wines anywhere.

We have been wine club members at Ecluse for several years and it is always consistently great. They have one white Rhone blend and the rest are reds, zinfandel, Cab, blends, all are wonderful. Prices are reasonable with a "Blind Dog" table wine at $15.00 through to blends at approx. $40.00. They don't pour the Blind Dog in the tasting... More

Steve Lock is a magician. His blends and varietals are stunning. This is one of the unspoiled wineries where the tasting room is in a barn and the owner is usually there to chat about the offerings. He is one of the stellar winemakers in Paso.

We loved this small family winery and its crafted wines. The owners were on site to chat and answer questions. We bought several nice wines and will return

2012 varietals are incredible already. The 2010 varietals are becoming even more amazing. I just opened a 2010 Cab. Yum! I am going to buy another case before they run out!

Coming here for a tasting was a fun experience overall and offered something unique! - The view of the vineyards is beautiful. - The wines are all quite lovely. I sampled some cabs and ports that I really liked. - The staff were friendly and came around often to talk to us about the wine and answered our questions. I... More

Ecluse is a small winery and they make most of their wines from grapes they grow locally. The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon was excellent, but don't miss Blind Dog wine - you want be disappointed. Wonderful people make the experience truly enjoyable. Such a breath of fresh air after pretentious big Paso Robles names making mediocre and expensive wines.

Ecluse is a small winery about 5 minutes from downtown Paso Robles. It has a simple tasting room, not ostentatious at all. Heather poured for us, and was quite knowledge about the wines and the history of the winery. Their tastings are complimentary and they poured 5 wines for us. We particularly enjoyed the 2010 Prelude (a blend of Viognier,... More

This was our first stop in the area and as soon as we walked in, someone came over with glasses in hand and started pouring. This definitely was a good start to a day of winery hopping. They were quick on their service and friendly with any questions we had. Very nice in helping us plan our tour and was... More

Open on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11:00am to 4:00pm. Atop a hill not far from Pine Street on the West side of Paso Robles this tasting room is located in the production facility. They have a nice selection of Bordeaux and Rhone varietals. They do a lot of the tastings on top of empty wine barrels to give a... More
