Coming here for a tasting was a fun experience overall and offered something unique! - The view of the vineyards is beautiful. - The wines are all quite lovely. I sampled some cabs and ports that I really liked. - The staff were friendly and came around often to talk to us about the wine and answered our questions. I... More

Ecluse is a small winery and they make most of their wines from grapes they grow locally. The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon was excellent, but don't miss Blind Dog wine - you want be disappointed. Wonderful people make the experience truly enjoyable. Such a breath of fresh air after pretentious big Paso Robles names making mediocre and expensive wines.

Ecluse is a small winery about 5 minutes from downtown Paso Robles. It has a simple tasting room, not ostentatious at all. Heather poured for us, and was quite knowledge about the wines and the history of the winery. Their tastings are complimentary and they poured 5 wines for us. We particularly enjoyed the 2010 Prelude (a blend of Viognier,... More

This was our first stop in the area and as soon as we walked in, someone came over with glasses in hand and started pouring. This definitely was a good start to a day of winery hopping. They were quick on their service and friendly with any questions we had. Very nice in helping us plan our tour and was... More

Open on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11:00am to 4:00pm. Atop a hill not far from Pine Street on the West side of Paso Robles this tasting room is located in the production facility. They have a nice selection of Bordeaux and Rhone varietals. They do a lot of the tastings on top of empty wine barrels to give a... More

Small production operation with great wines, fantastic stuff, intimate tasting room where you get so many personal and special touches. One of the best stops in Paso for anyone that likes an experience with their wine tasting.

Steve and the rest of the Ecluse employees were very personable and happy to talk about the vineyard, wines, and the Paso Robles area. The wines are very good and we even tasted a couple of upcoming blends!

It is off the beaten path but it is well worth putting it in the GPS and enjoying the countryside. They only do tastings on Friday to Sunday so plan ahead. Our visit was late in the day and we had the place to ourselves. Friendly, well educated staff added to the experience of the fantastic, customized experience. All the... More

We discovered this winery from our attendance at the Paso Robles Wine Festival. This is a small privately owned winery specializing in the blending of French Varietals in French or Hungarian Oak. The tasting was complimentary and included a sample of one blend being aged in Hungarian Oak and then a taste of the same blend, same age out of... More
