J. Lohr is our go-to wine. I especially like their Tower Road Syrah. The winery is nice, nothing special. Staff is nice, not overly friendly but okay. We really like their reds and always stop by, even though most of our other favorites are west of 46.

The list of wines did not have any flavor profile descriptions. When I asked why, the pourer snootily said 'that's what I'm for'. Well, I prefer reading about the flavor of wine - that's how I find new wines I want to try. I don't just want to try more zins unless it sounds good! The tasting room was very... More

I am writing this as a connoisseur of boutique wineries, which J. Lohr is not. With that being said...it is worth a visit for the newbie in wine tasting. Their library collection was excellent and their standard selection OK. The tasting room wasn't that intimate and I prefer more of that type of atmosphere. The staff was super friendly though... Super friendly and helpful servers. Many great wines you cannot find outside of the winery. Nice setting.

First off J.Lohr wine is great but it should be as it produces over a million cases of wine a year. The tasting is complimentary and you get to pick the wines you taste. I prefer red, so I went with those that are not as available to the public. They were all winners in my book. My only negative... More

The staff is always my first observation and they are gems. Knowledgeable without talking down to patrons, they make all feel welcome. The wines offerered are all drinkable now instead of needing air for an hour to make them paletable. A great and well-crafted variety awaits.

Excellent and friendly employees. A great educational and tasting experience. Free tasting and very liberal with the pours. Just a very memorable experience!

Ken took great care of us this trip and the wine was excellent as always. One couple in our group is a club member so his free tasting extends to us which is nice. Last year during Harvest Weekend we attended a wonderful event.

Very professional, informative, generous wine tasting. Great small batch wines you won't find in stores. Wonderful cabs.

The staff are quite welcoming at this winery. The tasting room is airy and the wines are nice. We found several to purchase, which is not always the case. This was not a good picnic winery, but was a good place to pick up wine for your picnic.
