We had been recommended this winery by another in the area and were very surprised by the very good tasting room and quality (and quantity) of the wines available for tasting. We were able to select six individual wines from a very wide choice of white or red and quickly decided which wines to purchase. At this stage we were... More

J. Lohr offers a range of wines in a free tasting. The staff are friendly and have some good insights about their wines. The setting is more inland (to the east of Highway 101) where the topography gets more flat. I would encourage more exploration on the West side of 101 where the hills emerge and the wineries become smaller... More

We enjoyed our visit here, they allow you to taste 6 wines for free, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. This is one winery that didn't even mention their wine club. They weren't pushy at all just very helpful and we felt they had great wines! Would definitely go back again.

J. Lhor winery is a fun, friendly place to visit. Tastings are free...you get a sheet listing several red and white wines and you choose up to six to taste. We thought it was g reat that you get to choose the types of wines! The service was very friendly and welcoming, not like some other wineries. The gift shop... More

We have had the lower end J Lohr at restaurants before, but the wines we were served at the winery were much better. Our server was skilled and gave us many more tastes than promised. We enjoyed many different wines - enough to join their club. Highly recommended.

J Lohr is a very large brand that sells a lot of vino , there winery is a little basic , but still worth a taste! We had free samples and ate our picnic outside , there wines are solid and lord knows I've drank enough of them over the years ! Worth your time to visit !

Visited here with 2 other couples. The staff were excellent at understanding which wines we like & providing us with samples that fitted our tastes.

The 2010 Carol's Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon for $43 and the 2011 Carol's Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon for $40 were both excellent. No tasting few with purchase of 4 bottles. Other wines were just average.
