This was the third stop on our wine tasting tour, wasn't disappointed. Their wines are excellent and available in Texas, so I can get me some J. Lohr anytime I want some. Nice location in the middle of the vineyard. Not as picturesque as some wineries, but a great atmosphere and friendly staff. Definitely worth the trip.

Made a special trip to J. Lohr because a friend drinks the red wine every evening. It was a great place to sample about 6 of their special wines and then afterwards go to the gift shop and spend some money. I got a couple of gifts and have fond memories of our visit. The staff was very friendly and... More

As a former wine store owner, I confidently recommended J Lohr wines as good values. Now I would say that, from this last tasting visit, there are some high scoring reds (92-95pts in my book). Lohr has many vineyard sources. Currently the "Pau" (styled after Pauiliac in Bordeaux-Cab dominated); the "E" copying St. Emilion in Bordeaux-Cab Franc dominated; and "Pom"... More

When we visit our son at Cal Poly, we try to visit a few wineries in the area. This is a fantastic & well worth the 3 mi drive off of 46 east. The server (Mark) was friendly, knowledgeable and helped us choose a few more local wineries to visit. Every wine I tried here, I liked ( which was... More

The Largest and one of the best wineries in the valley, J Lohr Winery is one of the mainstays of the Paso Robles area, Their tasting room is fairly small based on the number of visitors, but the folks are always friendly and informative. Nice gift shop too.

Wines are very good. Views of the vineyards are lovely. If you have tried j. Lohr wines in your area, they are even better at the winery. Some you can only get at the winery.

We buy mass distributed J. Lohr at home but knew they had to offer premium boutique wines. Tasted six and joined the wine club. Especially enjoyed the Hilltop cab and Carol's vines cab - named after his late wife who chose the vines. Friendly staff. Nothing pretentious here. We look forward to more wines arriving every quarter!

We recently visited J Lohr Winery in Paso Robles. This was our second time within the last year and a half, and just like the first visit, we again had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The atmosphere is very inviting and welcoming. The wines are wonderful and you will be able to taste a few that aren't readily available in your... More

Not far from 46 East, J Lohr is easy to find. It is open 10:00am to 5:00pm daily. Although surrounding by vineyards the tasting room stands alone just off the side of the road. Inside is a large circular wine bar and a fair amount of clothing and wine accessories to shop from. Outside there is a nice porch with... More

We buy J. Lohr from our local wine store but had tastings of wines at the winery that are not distributed in our state. The staff was very knowledgable, fun, and the cost of the tasting was credited against our purchase which was nice. As was stated in other reviews, these people know their wines! We bought the Pinot Noir,... More
