The Largest and one of the best wineries in the valley, J Lohr Winery is one of the mainstays of the Paso Robles area, Their tasting room is fairly small based on the number of visitors, but the folks are always friendly and informative. Nice gift shop too.

Wines are very good. Views of the vineyards are lovely. If you have tried j. Lohr wines in your area, they are even better at the winery. Some you can only get at the winery.

We buy mass distributed J. Lohr at home but knew they had to offer premium boutique wines. Tasted six and joined the wine club. Especially enjoyed the Hilltop cab and Carol's vines cab - named after his late wife who chose the vines. Friendly staff. Nothing pretentious here. We look forward to more wines arriving every quarter!

We recently visited J Lohr Winery in Paso Robles. This was our second time within the last year and a half, and just like the first visit, we again had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The atmosphere is very inviting and welcoming. The wines are wonderful and you will be able to taste a few that aren't readily available in your... More

Not far from 46 East, J Lohr is easy to find. It is open 10:00am to 5:00pm daily. Although surrounding by vineyards the tasting room stands alone just off the side of the road. Inside is a large circular wine bar and a fair amount of clothing and wine accessories to shop from. Outside there is a nice porch with... More

We buy J. Lohr from our local wine store but had tastings of wines at the winery that are not distributed in our state. The staff was very knowledgable, fun, and the cost of the tasting was credited against our purchase which was nice. As was stated in other reviews, these people know their wines! We bought the Pinot Noir,... More

J.Lohr has been my wife's favorite for about 6 or 7 years. We were never able to get to the winery previously. Loved all the wines, particularly the Cuvee Pom. The Cabs are delicious as well as the Pinot Noir and even the Chardonnay. Needless to say we did not go home empty handed. They also have a great store... More

This is an absolutely fun winery with wonderful people staffing it. Much to our surprise, the tasting is complimentary and they pour plenty of wine for tasting. The young lady who served us was friendly, outgoing, funny, helpful and made our hour plus visit even more enjoyable. These people really know their wine and are very knowledgeable. They allow you... When you have the perfect combination of a bright and intelligent staff combined with world class, estate crafted wines...it makes of a wonderful experience. We were not disappointed in any way with J Lohr...thanks to Renee and the superb palate of the winemaker. Don't leave until you have enjoyed the RVG, the GSM, Carol's Cabernet and Renee's seminar on wine... More

J. Lohr is the only winery we visited that had a tasting menu broken up by price point and availability outside of Paso Robles. We loved our server. He was knowledgeable and fun to talk with. We also loved the wine. Back home in San Diego we discovered that the prices really are best if you join their wine club.... More
