This was recommended to us by a Paso local. We are glad we made the stop. As we discovered, this is the head winemaker at Tablas Creek private label. What he is doing here is different from Tablas which specializes in French varietals. We were hosted by the tasting room and event manager, so we got a lot of good... More

Went to Tablas Creek & enjoyed the wines. Found out the Tablas WineMaker owns this winery. Small room run by his family. Delicious red wines. Fan of Points West blend, other Nice choices. Bottle price here is a bit Lofty. Great wines to know about

This is a must do winery! The tasting room is in an old barn. The wines are some of my favorites in the region. Not super fancy but so comfortable! It was like hanging out with friends discussing wine. We can't wait to return!

Produces many wines with smaller case production numbers. Introduced by a friend prior to visit. Joined yet again, but if you are into wines, there's a good chance you might join up too. Dog friendly.

I disagree with a previous review. I thought the best wines here outshined the winemaker's best efforts at Tablas Creek. The Old Hat wine was superb, and the tannat blend (can't remember the name) was also wonderful. The white Rhone blends were great too. The tasting room was small and cozy, and they are situated on a hill with great... More

Small, unpretentious wine tasting room with Friendly staff. We enjoyed the wines...and bought a couple bottles to take home. Wines are expensive, but good.

Not only do they have some great wines, but they have a half dozen different styles of Hard Apple Cider, reminiscent of the great ciders of Bristol England. The staff is great and always worth the stop.

Lone Madrone is owned by the head winemaker at Tablas Creek, which has outstanding wine. We were hopeful to find some great wine here as well. The fellow who poured for us was not very familiar with the wine, and couldn't tell us much about it. Of the 6 wines we tasted we enjoyed one, a second one was passable,... More

With a bit of an old west vibe, this tasting room has a great (and widely varied) selection of wines. They also do hard ciders. Stop in and mosey up to the bar.

Out of all the Paso wines we tasted Lone Madrone stood head and shoulders above the rest. This is wine made by someone who knows and cares how wine should get to your glass. Small vineyards ,natural yeast fermentation, minimal intervention . Every wine tasted was a winner , white or red. Joined the club , bought the t shirt.... More
