The Opolo winery is a "must stop" in the Paso Robles area, especially if you enjoy mountain zinfandel wine. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. Tasters are warmly greeted and there is no rush to leave. Great!

We visited Opolo a few days after the busy Zinfandel weekend festivities. As a result we had a very leisurely tasting with a very pleasant and knowledgable server. She gave us the five excellent featured wines plus some of the reserve club wines from the weekend BBQ. All of the wines were exceptional and of very good value. This was... More

Even though we live in Sonoma wine country we have enjoyed our visits to Opolo enough that we joined their wine club. Tasting room is a fun visit and the wines suit us just right. And the location is beautiful.

The reserve Malbec was so great, I had to join the wine club. If you want to beat the crowds...make it your first stop.

Expect crowds. They say that 'opolo' means fun and they deliver on it. Our tasting person had great skills with keeping many groups feeling cared about, advising on what you might like and sneakily pouring a few of their club wines - well, if you like them, you have to join. Tempting, but I don't live anywhere near this area.... More

Opolo is one of my favorite zinfandel brand, it's bold, full-bodied, great bouquet and not complicated.

Opolo has an agreement with tour bus companies to bring tourists to their winery. Because of this, it is too busy and hard to get to taste. Employees are stressed out and unfriendly because of all the people. We are experienced wine travelers and suggest trying out some of the other wineries instead-you will have a better time and experience.... More

As the Managing Partner of Opolo, I can assure you that Opolo has never had an agreement with any Bus, Limo or Tour company. Since the beginning we have worked hard to make Opolo a popular destination for all those visiting Paso Robles Wine Country. It is evident through our other TripAdvisor comments that we make customer service and our... More

If vineyards were a popularity contest this would have be at the top of the list. Every time I have stopped by there is a great crowd. Although I have never eaten here, there are always crowd chowing down on what looks like great grilled foods and pizzas. The tasting room is a large room with several different wine bars/tasting... We loved Opolo from our very first visit. The place is so fun, friendly, lively and yes, they have wonderful wines not to mention home made sausage that they offer for free. I signed up for their wine club on our first visit and get so excited when I get an email that says my pick up will be available... More

This vineyard is off the beaten path & well worth the trip. Just the drive in along Vineyard Drive is worth your time. Opolo wines are among the Central Coasts finest & you won't be disappointed by the tasting. But what makes this a must visit is the lovely outside eating area & fresh baked thin crust pizzas & hand... More
