This was a fun stop over for kids during our road trip down from Monterey Bay to SoCal. There's a real fire truck the kids can play on and there are kid-size firefighter boots and jacket they can put on. Upstairs, the kids can do arts & craft or play with contraptions called Newton's Playhouse or play dress-up with costumes.... More

Located right off the town square in the heart of Paso Robles, this little museum is perfect for kids from 2 to the grandparents. Our family vacationed in Paso for the Thanksgiving holiday and on a rainy day, parents, grandparents, babe in arms, and 3-year old walked in dripping wet to a lovely warm welcome. Honestly, we hadn't expected much,... More

When I left Paso the children museum was not there. I brought my son and was surprised on how great this was. It's a small building, but they have it set up so well. On the main level they have a fire truck, a ball pit grape stomp and a puppet theater. There is also a place for toddlers. Upstairs... More

The museum is located in a previously used fire house. It is small but has two stories of things to do. They have the traditional area where children can play in layers of plastic balls; a real fire truck they can sit in; play horses to sit on; a make believe plastic kitchen; vacuum air tubes that suck plastic balls... Great for younger children. My boys loved the fire engine and camping areas. A good break for the kids in between winery visits.

My son, my parents, and myself all had a blast! My son climbed through the oak tree, took care of a doll at the hospital, pieced together all the x-rays at the doctors office, spent at least 30 minutes in the ball pit (grandpa even got in!), then we both dressed up as firemen and hopped into the fire truck!... This was such a cool find! We needed to kill a few hours in between baseball games (were in town for a tournament) and it was 108F outside! Its 2 stories & my kids had a BLAST playing dress up, in the grocery store, Dr's office, the pizza parlor, and in the ball area. They even have an old fire... More

We were searching for a place to entertain the little ones (6 and 4) while the men golfed, so we tried the Children's Museum. We drive past it nearly every 10 days and haven't stopped, and we're sorry we didn't bring the now older grandchildren here. The minute we got inside, they were fully engaged, first running to the replica... More

What a great place to bring your kids. This is a compact, small town kid's museum, but it really works. The fire engine is great for climbing on. The little bridges and tree are fun too. But the best is saved for upstairs... the ball machine. Its indescribable, but fun for kids and adults alike. If you've got kids under... More
