After flying several thousand of miles a few years ago, I visited the infamous Rose Parade. It was early & granting a good weather, a sea of people were already siiting on the road side for a good view.We were fortunate that we need not worry about parking as our friend stayed near where the the Rose Parade. At the... More

I knew there would be traffic. I knew it would be a gut buster to stand in line for a porta john. We just had to see it in person once and for all....and I will never return. First let me say the office that manages the tickets sales is great. If you're going, I strongly suggest you call them... More

I had the opportunity to visit the Tournament House of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association for a business meeting. This was the first time I visited the mansion. It was built by one of the members of the Wrigley family (as in Wrigley's Gum). It is beautifully maintained and has many references to the annual rose parade. Unfortunately, the... More

We fulfilled a life-long dream on January 1, 2014 by attending the Tournament of Roses Parade and viewing the floats close up after the parade. The grandstand seats were great and parade was fantastic, as I expected it to be. But, what was even more special, was getting to see the floats close up after the parade at the park... More

Tea at the Tournament of Roses House with the 2014 Rose Court Well, got an invitation to attend a reception tea on Sunday. Thanks Kelly. If was so magnificent a property. The very old and large trees, the seeping lawns that lead into a beautifully restored old mansion with sweeping views of the neighborhood. I have been past the home... More

We have watched this on TV since we were kids and now we've seen it in person!! Reserved a bleacher seat on-line (order early for a good selection) and we enjoyed the football fans all around us. They really added to our excited.... Things to remember: Pee before you get there..they have porta pottys for each bleacher section but....just pee... More

Loved the parade! We reserved our seats through Sharp Seating. Very good idea. The seats were great. In my opinion, the absolute best place to sit is as close to the intersection of Orange Grove Blvd and Colorado Blvd as possible. Take seat cushions, this is bleacher seating. The bathroom situation is a bit crazy. There are a lot of... More

We were not able to make it to the parade but arrived the day after. We found out ahead of time that you could still view the floats the day after & we were able to get there just in time. It was amazing. From what we understand, you can visit the places a day or two ahead of the... More

I was appalled that I read at the tourist center that they only allowed women on their association in 1974. Now that was well after we landed on the moon and Rosie Parks rode the bus. SHAMEFUL!
