My extended family went to see the parade in 2015. Unfortunately, it was one of the coldest parade ever. It was in the 20's... or it felt like it because we were in the shade. Most of the reviews I saw encouraged the traveler to opt for a paid seat instead of chancing it with the free-crowd. I paid premium... More

Plan and research early if you want to see the Tournament of Roses Parade, we purchased tickets for seats in the stands then lucked out getting free tickets with even better viewing!! We parked in a large parking garage then caught the train and walked from the closest stop to our seats. We were able to view the floats before... More

The Wrigley mansion is a great place to go on tours (only on select days). The people are very friendly, answer all questions. Tours are free, and about an hour. Beautiful pictures outside, too.

Spearmint Gum to the Tournament of Roses. I have attended 53 Rose Parades. Best floats on Earth! Championship bands and spectacular equestrians. It is fun to construct and decorate the floats. Tournament House is a great mansion on Orange Grove. There are some interesting exhibits inside and a diverse rose garden outside. The association does a stupendous job every year!

my daughters school was in the parade this year so I went out to follow them around to all their activities (Disney, universal, band fest, queen Mary, etc....). I have to admit that I did not e pest to be so moved by the parade - once you sit in the seats and the parade gets going (including fly over... More

I was so excited to see this parade first hand that getting up at 4am after celebrating New Years Eve with friends was not an issue. If you get a chance to go be sure to go with a tour. We had front row parking for our tour bus with our seats right across Colorado Blvd. It was in the... More

Reading other reviews reminds me how smart it is to book ahead with a tour company. We used Cartan and were very impressed. Coming from the East coast we needed to be sure of transportation, good hotel, and great seats. We got all that was advertised including float building in one of the barns - something you must see to... More

If you ever get a chance to do a tour with one of the companies that have the Rose Bowl Parade and associated pre-parade preview of how the floats are made and assembled, then I suggest you do. We used YMT tours and they are the leading provider of this tour. This was something I've wanted to do for years... More

We had gone 2 yrs ago and enjoyed it immensely so decided to go this year. This year we went the 1st day (Jan 2) and parked at The Rose Bowl... previously we parked at The Community College and went the last day.... I would definitely recommend the Community College over the Rose Bowl, they were way more organized over... More

Living on the East Coast I have been watching the Rose Bowl Parade on tv since I was a child. At age 72, having moved to Arizona, going to the parade became my goal. We decided to reserve grand stand seats and get reserved parking. It was not expensive and very much worth the money. It was cold but we... More
